I have a technics SA-EH760 i have touched the wire speakers and now have an error code of F61 i have taken the top off but cant see anything obvious
F61 - error code. This will trigger if the unit has gone into overload to avoid further damaged to other parts. The common causes of this error code.
1. Output IC - this is the most common caused of the error code. Once shorts happened to this IC, it will trigger the error code. Exposure to high volume and/or running in the long time will caused this IC to shorts and produce an overload.
2. Shorted Speaker - if one of your speakers shorts, error code will appear also. This may isolate by disconnecting the speaker to the set and play the unit *****. If the symptom still there the fault came from the unit itself.
3. Shorted Inputs - inputs connector is also prone to shorts due to frequent bending and pulling. To isolate this from fault, disconnect all the inputs connected to the unit like the aux input, antenna, mic, etc.
4. Faulty power supply - once gone to out-of-regulation condition, the error code will appear to protect the most expensive parts from further damaged.Bad solder joints in this section is also to consider.
5. Faulty Fan and its circuitry - F61 will appear only after a minute of operation not upon powering on the unit. Check the fan if working or not...
Also, check whether your unit is still within the warranty period, because the manufacturer will fix it for free.
How do I reset the overload
hi,
hi,
take the cover off, airdust it , check wiring harness on main board and back board. resecure. while leaving the cover off get a table fan and point air at it while its on. if it behaves you can now build yourself a internal fan out of an old computer fans ..

My Technics su-g50 amp has only a little audio volume in speakers and headphones
Turn the volume down to less than half.
Try each of the input select switches, and make sure the monitor switch is in the proper position,
If you have not used this stereo before, make sure the jumpers are connected on the back of the unit from PRE OUT to MAIN IN.
(If it was working OK and now it is not, the connectors on the back are fine..)
Technics su x901 I can't get sound from two speakers. Speakers are allright
