The sheets might be protected. To remove the protection, go to the "Review" tab, in the Changes group click on "Unprotect Sheet"

It will show #NA if the cell "D4" or "D36" do not have any numerical value.

You only need one formula for this. Total handling time divided by the total number of emails answered.

Try a formula like this:=COUNTIF(CellRange,"<>TBD")where CellRange is the area you want to test.Hope this helps.Regards,Scott

There could be 1 of 3 things affecting this:

1. Is another application using that excel document? If so you will not be able to edit it until the other application stops using it.

2. Is the file currently in a location that you do not have write permissions? eg. another users shared documents

3. Check in the properties to see if it is set to read only. (right click on the document and click properties. in the 'General' Tab see if 'Read Only' is checked. If yes, uncheck it and click okay)

An easy way to make it editable providing you are the only one using it (If the above fixes dont work) open it up in excel and then click File --> Save As... and then save it somewhere else. That will then make it editable for you.

3. To set the maximum number of times that Excel will recalculate, type the number of iterations in the Maximum Iterations box. The higher the number of iterations, the more time that Excel needs to calculate a worksheet.
4. To set the maximum amount of change you will accept between calculation results, type the amount in the Maximum Change box. The smaller the number, the more accurate the result and the more time that Excel needs to calculate a worksheet.

To have the contents of the cell change from something you input into something else, you would need to put in a macro using VBA. You'll need someone who knows VBA to help with that.OR... It is a lot easier to get similar results, if you are ok with using a few more cells to do it. The item# will remain where it was entered, and the product name will have to go in a different cell. In that case, you can use a lookup formula.To do this, lets say your item# is entered in cell 'Sheet1'!C1, and you want the product_name to display in cell 'Sheet1'!D1. On another sheet (lets say sheet2) In cells 'Sheet2'!A1:B5 input the item#'s in the first column (column A1:A5) and input the matching product-names in column B1:B5. This is your lookup data. This sheet can be hidden if you want In cell 'Sheet1'!D1, use a vlookup formula that will look at the item# and find a match in the list, and display the product name for you. =vlookup('Sheet1'!C1,'Sheet2'!$A$1:$B$5,2,false)This will display N/A# if the number can't be found.

Select all sales entry one by one by pressing space bar, & after selecting all the entries. Siply press Alt+D. all the selected Entries Deleted at once.
