This issue could be the pump, filter or debris in the sump.

LE error code indicates that the motor of your machine is faulty.

The LG is known for the main motor bearings (2 small cheap) bearings that are of poor quality and become noisy (growls) after a period of time. I pulled the motor and replaced the Korean bearings with quality German equivalents. This is cheap and solves the problem. (the front bearing closest to the plastic pump is the culprit.

Has anyone checked the drain hoses inside the machine. My LDF7932 dishwasher was doing the same thing and it turned out to be one of the drain hoses had a crack that was leaking causing a short in the wash motor and a leak in the machine--hope this helps.Good luckNancy

Is the water turned off? Dishwashers normally start a wash by emptying any waste water tipped into them during loading. Problem could therefore be a blockage somewhere, most likely in pump inflow under the filters in bottom of machine. Lift these out to check. Also check your sink drain isn't blocked and preventing the water from being pumped out.

It is under the the machine behind the kick plate. Just had to have the motor replaced in mine about two months ago.

it sounds like the impeller in the pump is getting loosae on the pump motor shaft and when it has to pump water any distance uphill when the hose is elevated it creates back pressure on the pump and this makes the impeller slip and make the crackling noise,you will need to replace the drain pump
