Our whirlpool machine started making a grinding noise right before the final spin, repair person replaced the actuator and it ran one load normally but now is right back to grinding. Any suggestions?

Has he checked the drain pump for loose change or a small object causing that noise? If it is not that, possibly the drum bearing is failing.

Whirlpool Washer will not empty. Agitator works okay. Also won't spin after water mostly removed.

Whirlpool have been making top load and front load washers for over 50 years. No model number given. Google Whirlpool (model number) Service Manual and Whirlpool (model number) parts diagram You can test the pump. For the lack of spinning, it could be the clutch, the motor capacitor, or the motor controller, or the lid safety switch/lock. ..

Can you wash shoes in a Whirlpool duet washing machine front end

It is generally not recommended to wash shoes, especially athletic or sports shoes, in a front-loading washing machine like the Whirlpool Duet. While the washing machine may be capable of handling the physical task of washing shoes, there are a few reasons why it is not advisable:
  1. Potential Damage: Shoes often have components like rubber soles, delicate fabrics, or other materials that can be damaged or deformed in the washing machine. The mechanical action of the machine, along with the detergent and water, can cause excessive wear, tear, or even disintegration of the shoe materials.
  2. Machine Damage: Washing shoes in a machine can cause imbalances, leading to excessive vibrations or damage to the machine's drum or other components. This can result in the machine not functioning properly or requiring repairs.
  3. Residue and Odor: Shoes may contain dirt, mud, or other substances that can leave residue in the washing machine. This residue can build up over time, affecting the cleanliness and performance of subsequent laundry loads. Additionally, some shoes may have strong odors that can transfer to the machine and impact future laundry.

Whirlpool Commercial Washer CAE2745FQ coin operated machine won't turn on. We changed the price and put it back together and now it won't turn on when the coins fall into the coin box. HELP!

If your Whirlpool Commercial Washer CAE2745FQ coin-operated machine won't turn on after changing the price and reassembling it, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the power supply: Ensure that the washer is properly connected to a functioning power outlet. Verify that the power cord is securely plugged in and that there is power at the outlet. If the outlet is controlled by a switch, make sure the switch is turned on.
  2. Examine the coin mechanism: Double-check that the coin mechanism is correctly installed and aligned. Ensure that all connections and wires are securely attached. Sometimes, a loose or improperly connected coin mechanism can prevent the washer from starting.
  3. Inspect the door switch: The door switch is a safety feature that prevents the washer from operating when the door is open. Make sure that the door is fully closed and latched properly. If the door switch is faulty or not engaging correctly, it may need to be replaced.
  4. Check for error codes or resets: Some commercial washers have error code displays or reset procedures. Refer to the washer's manual or documentation to see if there are any error codes displayed or if there is a specific reset process you need to follow.
  5. Test the control panel and switches: Ensure that the control panel buttons and switches are functioning properly. Check if any buttons or switches are stuck or unresponsive. If necessary, clean the control panel and switches to remove any dirt or debris that may be affecting their operation.
  6. Contact professional assistance: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it is recommended to contact Whirlpool's customer support or a qualified technician who specializes in commercial laundry equipment. They will have the necessary expertise and tools to diagnose and repair the specific issue with your coin-operated washer.

First try resetting it by unplugging it or by turning off the circuit breaker. After ensuring that it has been disconnected for ten minutes, you can reestablish power and see if it resets to factory settings.

I have Whirlpool machine model WTW7300XW0 type:580

OL errors usually mean that the washer is overloaded or the motor is working too hard to move the tub relative to the drive shaft during agitation of the load. For an overloaded washer, removing some items can help. However, if the bearings have failed or the shaft is corroded, then the hardware needs to be replaced. One way to check: run the washer with the tub empty. Do not add any detergent. If the OL error persists, then you have to identify the specifics of the hardware fault. A parts list for the WTW7300XW0 is here: https://www.partselect.com/Models/WTW7300XW0/ . There is a tutorial for replacing the parts on some Whirlpool washers here: http://techanswerslive.com/troubleshooting/kenmore-elite-oasis-washer-f51-error-code-explained/ . Whirlpool manufactured this model for the Kenmore label. If your washer is older than you may want to consider replacing it. If it is covered by the original warranty, contact Whirlpool for a service call. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells
