You need to install a CyberView X scanner driver to use this scanner on Windows and Mac OS X.
On Mac OS X, you need to run VueScan with Rosetta, since CyberView X is a PowerPC program. To do this:

1. Click on the VueScan icon while holding the Control key
2. Choose 'Get Info'
3. Check 'Open using Rosetta'

Vista is a pain. Chances are there is no upgrade to vista.

On the page make the choice drivers on the top of the page, then USB ondersteuning Windows 95, then PrimeFilm/, then PrimeFilm 1800I/, here you find a manual, then choice Windows/, then 98se_me_2k_xp_vista/ and here you have de drivers and the update.

u can go to the manufacturing web site and download it there it wil be of free of cost

its one of 2 things, either the drivers are not working properly, or you have a bad scanner assembly in your scanner.
I would recommend trying it on a windows XP to verify if the problem has to do with the drivers. you can also try contacting tech support for your product and see if they have heard any issues with vista and your scanner.

also, just in case make sure your in the right scanner mode, I had one person trying to scan paper, but the scanner was set to scan a negative
