Nikon d3100 showing no sd card inserted message even after inserting it..please help

The only thing I can think of remove the SD Card, start camera, and go into the menu, check to make sure there are no pictures on the internal memory, if there are! erase them and restart camera and power off, re-install card and hopefully you are good to go. If no change! have the camera shop run a quick check.

Some time internal flash does not work in my nikon D3100 camera

When in program and manual mode, you will have to set it to flash. Make sure the circle around the electric bolt on the screen does not have a line through it, and it should work. There is usually a button with the symbol on it somewhere around the lcd(I'm not very familiar with your model or I'd tell you where) or it may be in the on screen menus if it's not a button around the screen.

Autofocus Lens for Nikon 70-300 1:4-5.6 AF25-166-4553 is mountable on a D3100?

You didn't specify the make of the lens. Assuming the lens has a Nikon mount then yes, it will mount on a D3100. The big question is whether it will autofocus on the D3100. The D3100 does not have an autofocus motor, relying on the lens to have one. Not all lenses do. Nikon designates lenses with an autofocus motor as AF-S. Other manufacturers use different designations. If you need further assistance, feel free to reply to this post and give the make of the lens.

Fitting infrared attachment on D3100

The ML-L3 cannot be used with the D3100. An alternative wireless remote is this one. It's not an external IR port but a radio receiver.

I left my nikon D3100 outside with the tripod and i forgot to get it,then suddenly it got wet from the rain, what will i do?

Remove the battery imediately, the memory card and the lens. Place the camera body, lens and memory card in a warm dry and place for several days to dry out completely. When the camers is dry, insert the battery, lens and memory card, turn on the camers and set the date and time.If the camers does not work charge the battery and try again. If it still does not work then you need to send it to the Nikon service centre for repair.

How to install a Nikon SB-700 AF Speedlight Flash for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras

Basically, you put batteries into the flash, put it into the flash mount on the top of the camera, turn everything on, select a flash mode, and start shooting. The flash comes with a detailed manual describing its operation. There is a section in the camera manual describing the various flash modes. The SB-700 is fully compatible with the Nikon iCLS system, which includes the D3100.Since you asked a general question, I can only give you a general answer. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask them.

When i came to used my camera, i found that when i looked through the viewfinder the image was blurred, when i take a photo the photo is black. in need of a solution

Sometimes cameras that have been stored for a long time can experience stuck or sticky shutters. This is caused by lubrication oil residue building up on the shutter from non-movement over this extended period of time. But this can sometimes be easily fixed, without even opening the camera. To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.If you do succeed in opening the shutter, remember to conduct the post-fix multiple continuous shutter shots to lubricate the shutter.

My D3100 got dunked, it works but images seem cloudy

Bob, Your camera may stop working very soon as corrosion begins. You should place all parts that got wet in a pillow case and put in a large container of dry, uncooked rice for a day or two (or longer). The rice will will draw out the moisture from all the affected parts.Next, you'll need to do a "wet cleaning" of the sensor. This is not for the faint of heart - but can be done at a camera shop for under $100 if you'd rather have them do it. I'd wait a couple of weeks before doing that - as the camera may fail as a result of the corrosion I mentioned earlier. It doesn't make sense to drop $100 into a broken camera - right? The lens will need a thorough cleaning - but may be better / cheaper to buy a replacement. This is not an "end user" job - it will need to be sent out - but consulting a local camera shop first would be best.

For your specific camera, here's how to do it. First of all, you need to slide the lever right at the top right corner of your screen to the right. That'll take you to the live view mode. Then, you must press the red button, on the lever to start recording.Have fun, shooting.Regards,Rebel Gimme a thumbs up ;)

D3100 is showing a blurred

Dear Robert,RELAX. Take a deep breadth. Your D3100 is working perfectly. I'm a proud owner of this little genius of a DSLR myself. What you've stated as a problem, is in-fact the D3100's auto-focus at work. When the shutter button is pressed half-way, it focuses the subject. When it is pressed the full way, it snaps the pic. Simple. So, you should be happy, that your camera is working fine. Have fun, save your memories, and this camera will go a long way. Gimme a thumbs up too please ;-)Rebel K

My nikon d3100 is saying

Hey Julie,We'll solve your problem in a moment. Step 1, First, I need you to look through the viewfinder, and press the shutter release button, half-way, and notice the difference. Don't let go, till you hear a beep sound. The blurriness that you see will clear automatically. If you hear no noise, and the blurriness doesn't go, try this.Step 2,On the lens, there will be a tiny button. It'll have A-M on it. Switch it to 'A', if not already on it. Once you do that, try step one again. Now, you'll be able to overcome your problem.Toodles,Rebel! =)
