Are you sure you are adjusting the limit controls and not the force controls.. depending on the age of the opener the limits controls are on the side and the force controls are on the back and they are blue. If you are adjusting the limits and nothing is changing you then either have a bad limit rack or circuit board. I just changed out a rack a little bit ago.

SORRY TO SAY.THE ANSWER IS YES. THE NEW OPENERS ARE NOT ON THE SAME FREQUENCY. YOU CAN PURCHASE REMOTES THAT WILL WORK WITH BOTH OLD AND NEW OPENERS (DUAL FREQUENCY). BUT, OLD REMOTES WILL NOT WORK WITH THE NEW OPENERS.

THEN PRESS AND RELEASE THE BUTTON, HOLD DOWN THE REMOTE BUTTON FOR 20 SECONDS OR UNTIL YOU HEAR A CLICK. WHEN YOU PROGRAM THE SECOND REMOTE DO NOT HOLD DOWN THE PROGRAM BUTTON. The sensors are seeing something directly in line with the beam between the 2 sensors, or your sensors are not aligned so they point directly at each other.
