THE UNIT SHOWS ERROR CODE 1200
The 1200 error is caused by a cartridge carrier stall. This can happen if:- The print cartridges are not snapped in correctly.
- The encoder strip is out of place.
- A foreign object is blocking the cartridge carrier's path.
You can check this article on how to solve that problem: http://bit.ly/XypLZK
How to remove cover on lexmark F4270
Leading cause of paper
jams is debris / foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed
area. Please try this approach to fix the problem:
- Remove the sheets of paper from
the feeder.
- Grab a flashlight and look
inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
- If you're willing and
physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris
should just freely roll out from the feeder.
- If feeder is clear, place the
printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
- Check the cartridge area for
any obstructions in the paper path.
- Close the printer cover.
- Re-brick your printer by
pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is
plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
- When the printer turns on,
reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify
that the problem is fixed.
Do I insert the paper I want to fax face up or
Having no Operating Guide, I'd type a one line sample, make a note on the paper like "face-up" and put it in with the paper facing up and hit "print".
If it prints on that side you have your answer.
If it prints on the backside, then put your papers in facing down.
The fax can not recive
Is your line fax enable? If not, definitely you cannot receive fax just sending only.
Check you telephone provider.

Error 1200
Error code: 1200
But it is the same as the Lexmark.
This error code is commonly associated with the Dell 922 printer. Usually you might see the cartridge moving front and back and slamming itself against the printer. You need to tighten the strings located on the back of the printer and then it should work fine
Clean the carriage rail. This is the round chrome piece that the carriage assy that holds the cartridges rides on. Use a paper towel that is slightly moist.
Be sure to not force anything. Unplug the printer after you get the carts in the middle. Move them to one side and clean and then move them to the other and repeat.
Lift up the scanner to reveal the cartridge compartment; under the chrome rod on which the cartridges run there are two small gaps about 8cm apart. In the right one should sit the paper sensor which is a small black rod that hooks downwards; the problem I had was my sensor had bent up and out of the gap so all I had to do was bend it gently back into position using a small screwdriver.
Hope you get it to go.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
