Print wheel hammer
Your problem is probably the print solenoid either not firing or the cap that is on the end of it has broken off. Usually the cap is broken and a new one can be installed in its place.

If it beeps on every key stroke try code "S" if it beeps after a word try code "1" if it just beeps and nothing else you need a tech.

Letters to close
The pitch (spacing) is set by the print wheel. 10. 12, 15 or PS.
the only way to change thr spacing is to change the print wheel.

Only typing half letters and numbers
On the WheelWriter series, sometimes the platen may pop out of position, causing only half the letters to print. If this is the case, easially solved... Using the left and right platen knobs, firmly push down to lock it back in place. Hope this helps....MediaMan

My Carriage moves all the way left, hits the stop, then errors out.
wo things first spray a little WD40 on the silver shaft that the carrier slides on, if that dosen't work you have to get some lube on nthe carrier motor bearings located on the loweright rear under the case. The front one can be accessed from inside the T/W the rear you have to fish the straw thrfu the case.DickyO
