Hello sir; You have to change drum & developer then go to simulation U109,110,111 & U130 after that you have go to simulation U250,251 & U345 then it will clear your display.

Does this machine have an ADF ( document feeder) on it? If so, check the connect cable from the document feeder to the machine. Also check the connectors from the scanner PWB to the document driver PWB. ( these are the 2 boards that do the communicating , the machine and the document feeder). If this machine does not have a ADF the check the side covers/ doors and make sure that they are closed securely.

Inside the printer, in the laser assembly, the zoom motor is not working anymore. Try to open it, stay clear of the lens, remove the little board with the motor atached to it, open the motor and clean it. Normaly it should run smoothly. i had the same problem, solved it, but now i get the A100 message. Any ideas?

may be fuser unit thermostat problem. if it is low heat eror change it.

check the exp.lamp . it mzay be blinking at the time of scanning the original.

1, press these key by order and keep holding down.
2 these keys are "stop/reset", "start", "left copy density"
3, press "stop/reset" key again.
4, enter 163, press start.
5, window will show out "CLE"
6, press start to clear.
7, press "stop/reset"key and 001 to exit.

AP = Ading Powder (toner) most of the times it means the toner is near it's end order a new one :)

First, what kind of technical background do you have? Also when replacing the drum you should replace the drum blade. Most of the drum/blade kits do not come with padding powder anymore so you will need the padding powder also -- if you do not use the padding powder you will get drum blade jitter and trash the brand new drum!!!!

TO replace the drum you will need to remove the toner cart., 1-2 covers, the dev. unit (developer) and then the drum unit. You will then have to take the drum unit apart to remove the old drum and blade. *****NOTE***** DO NOT TOUCH THE DRUM SURFACE OR THE MYLAR (RUBBER PART) OF THE BLADE WITH YOUR SKIN!!!!!! The oil from your skin will damage the drum and could damage the blade, again -- then they would be trashed.

I would spend the money to have a trainer tech. come out and replace/ rebuild your photo conductive unit for you. It would be money well spent.

(1) Detaching and refitting the image formation unit
Follow the procedure below to replace or check the image formation unit.
Prucedure
1. Pull the drawer out and open the front cover, bypass tray and paper conveying unit.
2. Remove the waste toner tank and toner container.
3. Remove the two screws holding the waste toner tank cover and then the cover.
4. Remove the screw holding the developing retainer and then the retainer.
5. Remove the two screws and datach the connector and remove the image formation
unit.

1-remove drum and turn upside down, is there a black ring on the shiny cylinder, yes, replace
2-remove drum and clean inside of machine look for strip of light, clean for toner
3-if cpying from an automatic feeder, and it does it from there ONLY then lift ADF and clean the small strip of glass.
