Zenith DVD2381 DVD Player Questions & Answers
When playing a DVD, we experience frequent stops and starts..
It may be a dirty lens, or perhaps the drive is getting stuck.
The first thing to try, if you feel up to it, is to clean the lens. First, you'll need rubbing alcohol (peroxide isn't the same thing) and a Q-tip. Add a tiny amount of alcohol to the Q-tip and gently rub it against the lens of the laser. After a few times around the lens, use the dry end of the Q-tip to pick up any excess alcohol lying around. Put the player back together and try playing a disc.
If it still doesn't fix the issue, then the following steps can be taken.
Have a disc in the drive and while it's off, open it up. Start the drive and see if it's spinning freely. If not, then onto the next part.
Use some WD40 on the shaft of the drive motor that makes the disc spin. Just use a little bit at a time and work it in by manually spinning the spindle (what the disc rests on). Once that's finished, put the disc back in and reassemble the drive, plug it in, turn it on, and see if it spins better.

My zenith CD/DVD duplicator LCD light on but no ready
If the LCD light on your Zenith CD/DVD duplicator is on but it is not showing as "ready," it is possible that there is an issue with the duplicator's internal components or settings. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
Check the disc trays: Make sure that all of the disc trays are closed properly and that there are no discs stuck inside the duplicator. If a tray is open or a disc is stuck, the duplicator will not be able to operate properly.
Check the power source: Make sure that the duplicator is plugged into a working power source and that the power cable is securely connected to the duplicator. If the power source is not providing enough power, the duplicator may not be able to operate.
Check the settings: Check the duplicator's settings to ensure that it is set up correctly for the type of disc you are trying to duplicate. For example, if you are trying to duplicate a DVD, make sure that the duplicator is set to duplicate DVDs and not CDs.
Reset the duplicator: Try resetting the duplicator by unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes, then plugging it back in and turning it on. This can sometimes resolve minor issues with the duplicator's internal components.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that there is a more serious issue with the duplicator's hardware or software. In this case, it may be best to contact Zenith customer support or a professional technician for further assistance.
