1. Remove left cover (where the USB connection is located);

Sounds like the gears are out of alignment for the paper pick up tray.

Unless something is actually broken, I have usually found that the rubber rollers and belts need cleaning. The manual details which ones to clean with rubbing alcohol, but they are mostly at the front of the machine and can be found by removing the paper tray.

Open the front hatch, grab a good hold on the assembly inside. Lift up and pull towards you firmly. The drum and toner assembly will slide out together. Separate the toner and drum unit by pressing down on the coloured tab and lift the toner (TN) up and out. The drum is the part labelled DR.

According to fusing (heating) at last final, thin paper is not possible to print in laser printer. it is better to use with little 70gms thick paper together using glue at feeding side only.

Try resetting the printer. Disconnect power and reconnect after a minute. If not ok, make sure the drivers are uptodate.

if you printing is just faint, need to replace toner, but if your printing is faint and blurry, need to add grease to the fuser film roller, need advanced skills for that, disassemble the fuser unit take out the fuser film and put some special high temp grease on the heating element, assembly all back and install, the other way is replacing the fuser unit
