Brother MFC-7340 Squeeks loudly. I have change both toner cart and drum unit twice, but the squeeking persists. Any ideas for a fix?
ok. one item i have seen cause a problem in that area is a white gear that is attached by a screw. turn your printer around and remove the rear cover, then the next inner cover thats called a chute assembly. then you should be looking at the fuser cover assembly. usually black in color and has the exit sensor lever visible. thats the piece that has the white gear which is on the right side as your looking from the rear. pop fuser cover out and remove screw from gear making sure to note how gear is originally installed as it must not be put on backwards. after removing gear, clean the gear shaft and re-install gear making sure screw is snud and flush against gear. also make sure it rotates freely. re-assemble and see if that takes care of problem.good luck,razors
