Why was ink obserber near full
Ink Absorber is a big reservoir which fills over time every time your printer does a Printhead clean. This is a built in system of Obsolescence with Printers. However people like to keep printers long after they are considered out of date. Depending on what model of printer you have you can reset the Wast Ink Absorber counter however you do this at your own risk as eventually if the waste ink absorber is not emptied when the reset is done it will overflow and cause damage to the printer, the furnishings near where you keep the printer etc.
MFC-295CN 4F
Error code 4F is caused by a faulty print head or main circuit board.
Neither fault is easy to fix even IF you can find replaecemnt parts.
If you take it to a Brother repair shop, they will no doubt charge you more than a new machine will cost.
Sorry, but your machine is beyond economic repair.
My PF KITMP life is at 90% can I reset this and get more life out of it or will I have to replace at 100%
PF KitMP is the Manual Feed Paper Kit. Normally these count down not up. If it is counting down there is no need to replace it any time soon.
The life on the kits is based on a certain number of pages being fed through it. The rollers wear with every page sent through. These rollers when the kit expires means they are probably worn smooth and not able to pick up the paper anymore. There are ways around the wearing of these rollers so you may not need to replace them as soon as it expires.
On the machine there will be a maintenance option in the menu which includes parts life and resetting of said parts. I would assume that the parts are going to be available for quite some time since most people dispose of the machine before the PFKits run out. So check with your Brother Supplier for parts availability. The kits are not too expensive normally.
How to stop printing once it has started
For Brother Laser Machines. Start by pulling the paper tray out a little. This allows the page that is currently feeding through the system the chance to get through without jamming causing a whole slew of other problems.
Once the printer has stopped trying to feed the pages through coming up with an error saying paper out then you can look at deleting all the print jobs in the print queue on your computer. All but the one currently being printed should disappear when you delete them. The one that is left will be errored.
Then turn your printer off for 30 seconds closing the paper tray and try to delete that last job from the queue.
If it will not go then turn your printer back on and let the last couple of pages print out. these are pages that are stuck in the system. If the print job did disappear then just turn on your printer as normal and it should be clear of any jammed printing and you don't end up with Paper Jams in the printer to clear.
Brother 2200 driver
Most of the drivers located on the brother website are in the form of an Executable setup file which goes through and sets up your printer. The INF files are there just need to unzip the file and find them in the directories if you want to set up the printer manually.
Laser printer shuts down immediately
A laser printer that shuts itself down immediately after turning it on indicates either a loose power cable which can be fixed by pushing the power cable in properly or something internal to the printer is causing it to shut down.
If it is shutting down due to something internal, one possability is it has the wrong power going into it. a 110 volt power supply going into a 220 volt printer or the other way round change the supply or find a converter for it. Another possibility is some other component in the machine is failing such as the power regulator board or format board. If it is something internal like this. Replace the printer is really your only option unless it is still under warrantee as replacing parts in most machines nowdays is more expensive than buying a new printer.
