Hello and good day to you!!!
Haven't you used that for a long time??
One of the cause it happen is because it was stock for maybe a long time...
Maybe the problem is on the DVD
lens or on the tape that you're going to play. You can try this D.I.Y
procedure, please try this first before we proceed to other solution if
it does not work.
- Check the CD itself. If the CD got many scratches, replace it.
- Clean the DVD lens using CD cleaner.
- Try to use other new CD or the one with no scratch.
- If the steps # 1 to 3 are not successful. The problem could be on DVD lens.
- If the DVD lens is defective you better to buy a new
player.Because the lens is expensive and it is not easy to install on
DVD player.
Thank you!!!And hope to help you with all the best that I can...just consult or message me for any clarification or query..
The DVD tray came all
you have snapped the rubberbands that hold the tray and make it function. You will need to get a new drive or pull apart the one you have now to attempt the repair.
Thank you
I have had Sansui vrdvd4005 for many years. now i
Cleaning DVDs that look like a DVD with a small brush on them will rarely work. After unplugging unit try opening unit and using a Qtip and rubbing alcohol try VERY GENTLY cleaning the optic on the player. If this does not work player will need to be replaced.
I HAVE A SANSUI VRDVD4005 WITH A PIONEER
You are in deep doo doo - I have exact same problem and I have experimented with various drives and it appears that the Sansui's electronics are biased so that they only work with a Pioneer unit.
Try to find out who made that drive for Pioneer and obtain one of their comparable units. Maybe that will work. Finding the drive is impossible!!!!!!!!
No power. Disconnected all
Hi:
If you have no power at all, the first thing you should do is open the units cover and check the line fuse. the line fuse is the on nearest to where the power cord enters the unit. If found blown replace with same type voltage and amperage rating. IF after replacing the fuse the unit blows the new fuse then there is a problem in the primary side of the power supply, this would indicate a shorted bridge rectifier or Diode.
My remote to my DVR/VCR combo no longer works how
You can typically get a universal remote control to work with these units at any electronics department or big name electronics store. I got mine at the electronics department at the big store (W-mart) for example. If you want a Sansui remote, you can google the model number and find about a dozen or more companies that sell replacement remotes and also on Ebay. Personally, I'd buy the $20 universal model at the electronics store! Good luck!
When I Insert A Cassette
is the yellow jack plugged into video out (DVD) to video in (TV).......is the TV on ch 3? if there is a switch on the back of player is it switched to 3 also?
My DVD recorder will not recognize any of the DVDs
yes, that is the solution... try to get the DVD that is 4x (Maxell, Dynex) most are all up to 16x now... unless you can find a firmware update for Sansui (I tried already for you, but you can with out a doubt try too)
I would like to make a copy from my video tape to
Turn on the TV and set it to the video source to be able to easily see the menus as you set up the dubbing process. Put the source tape you want to record in the VCR. (Copy protected tapes will not be dubbed.) If you want to avoid dubbing from the DVD to the VHS tape, remove the erase protection tab from the cassette. Put a compatible recordable disc (non-finalized disc, unprotected disc) in the recorder and make sure there is sufficient available capacity on the disc.
Press Rec Mode/Speed to set the speed (SP, LP, SLP, or XP). Press DVD/VCR and set the unit to VCR mode. Confirm the mode with the indicator light on the unit. Press Dubbing and the mode should switch to DVD automatically. Select Yes (with the left/right arrows) and press Enter to start the duplication. The unit should indicate the VCR playback, dub and DVD recording are in progress. Press Stop to halt the dubbing process or it will stop when the unit reached the end of the tape or the disc is full.
The dubbing button is only on the remote control; if your original remote isn't working make sure that your replacement remote has the feature. Remotes.com often has exact or substitute remotes with the matching features. Search just by the model number not the brand.

My sansui VRDVD 4500 will not read any blank or
Hi,
your player is not reading blank disk because of type of black disc you are trying to record with it. Are you aware that there are different types of black disc? There is DVD R, DVD RW, DVD +R and DVD -R.
I think the particular type of disc you using is not compatible with the player.
Try to different types of disc and you will detect/know the right/exact black disc for your player.
Good luck.
I am trying to change my vhs prerecorded tapes to
Ok well there are a lot of variables at play here. What kind of device / card are you using to input from the VHS player? What kind of cables are you using to attach the player to the computer? What software are you trying to use to capture the video?
Thanks, let me know by replying here and I can definitely help you,
Tim
