Where is the Wifi switch?

You can enable or disable your wireless with a combination of keys on your keyboard, or with a dedicated wireless switch. On Acer notebooks and netbooks, the following methods are used:
  • A dedicated button, located above the keyboard.
  • A toggle switch, located on the front or side of the device.
  • The FN and the key with the wireless icon on your keyboard. Usually, the key combination Fn + F3 is used.

Replacing a screen is really not that difficult. Make sure you power down and, I would suggest, removing the battery. The screen case should have little sticky rubber "buttons" over the screws that hold the front and back haves of the screen. Once those are removed there will be clips that will still hold your frame together. With a small screw driver you should be able to insert and carefully locate those clips and work them loose, that will probably work best going from top center and work your way over and then down the sides. Once you have the "frame" loose there will be some more little screws and a couple of ribbon cables with ZIF connectors (zero insertion force) usually they have little clips on either end where they are plugged in and just pull those clips back and the cable will slip right out. Lastly there will probably be some 2 sided tape once all the screws have been removed. So you will still need to "pry" the screen from the back 1/2. Then just replace with your new screen and reverse the steps. Just make sure the ribbon cables are seeded well and the clips are closed again.
I would also before closing everything back up reinstall the battery and do a quick start up to verify its function before you get everything back together.

Happy hardware and good luck!

Hi,

It means that the Operating System on the machine is corrupted. You can fixed the problem by reinstalling a new Operating System on the machine. First you need to have the OS Cd of your machine. Second you need to set the CDROM as the First Boot Priority. To go to BIOS Restart the computer and immediately press Del or F2. Go to BOOT tab then select the CDROM as the First Boot of the Machine then save the settings.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Access outlook

what password computer or outlook Reset an Outlook password to keep your program secure. A Microsoft Outlook password keeps your email account secure from unwanted intrusion. When you wish to reset your Outlook password, you must perform a multistep process to change your password first with your Internet Service Provider (ISP). The password with your ISP mail server must be the same as the password you set in your Outlook program in order to send and receive emails. Call your ISP and request a new password for your account. Write down the password after you receive it to ensure you do not forget it. Open your Outlook program, click the "Tools" tab and then select "Email accounts." Select "View or change existing email accounts" and then press "Next." Highlight the email account you wish to change (if you have more than one email account) and press "Change." Enter the new password you just received from your ISP into the appropriate fields (entering it twice). Place a check mark beside "remember password" if you want Outlook to remember your password each time you log in. Click "Test Account Settings" to make sure your account works with the new password. Press "Finish." I forgot my Outlook password http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/i-forgot-my-outlook-password-HA001113690.aspx

Acer Aspire E1 571 not charging battery.

Question edited for clarity and toss in a few CAPS. Question moved to Acer Aspire category. There a few issues that can cause this, the obvious one is that the battery has failed internally, but it can also be a charging software issue. Try this. Unplug from the mains supply. Remove the battery. Leave the computer for 2 hours. Press and hold the power button for a full 2 minutes. Replace the battery, plug back in, count to 10 and power it back up. Has the motherboard battery ever been changed? They are critical to the health of the motherboard and the machine in general.

!Espero que esa respuesta pueda haberle sido util! mute the speakers if still sounds noisy the fan inside is packed in lint and needs to be cleaned out or overeheating is bad news. why not ask a shop to look into this. we can take it apart (covers ) and user or stethoscope to hear noise. a $5 tool that is. and all shops have one or DIY one. I put my hear to hDD casings me, i use tube and put it near the fan vent to hear it scream. there is no other way besides unplugging all that 1 by one to hear it go silent. this is SOP, vast PC's pack up in lint and fail.

Sounds like the application is not installed correctly, uninstall it via control panel and re install from the original disc or download.
