High level input question

High level input is used when no RCA output are present on the head unit. You would wire the head unit speaker wires to the high level input.

Need to know how many ohms this amp is

Safe down to 2 ohms, NOT a 1 ohm stable amp, it will be pushing it hard even at 2ohms but Fosgate's should be able to handle it providing that the install and all cables, wire, connections, etc. are sanitary!
Good Luck !

My amp will only turn

The remote wire is meant to turn on the amp when it gets power.
Normally this is supplied by the REMOTE output on your AM/FM/CD/DVD dash device.
If the output on your car stereo is no longer providing power to the remote switch output, look for other things that only have power when the car is on.
The currend draw to the amp from the remote line is miniscule, and you can pretty much meter the fuse panel for things that only have power when the key is in the ACC or ON position, such as the in dash radio power line or some other suitable line.
Ideally you'll want something that supplies 12V in the ACC, and ON positions of the key, but not in the OFF position of the key.

Amp will not turn on

You need to confirm that you have voltage at the amplifier.

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

Due to no electrical safety fues on the amp my

your amp can be repaired by a professional to hard for someone without electronics training. you may find it is to expensive to repair. new will probably be your best bet.but do find out about repair before buying new. I have a local shop here that has a 60 dollar fee to look at it then if parts are needed they have an hourly rate plus parts. good luck

Sub will drain all the sound off the front speakers

if you have both amps connected to the same power wire this will happen...run another power wire to the alpine and this should solve the problem.

Will not power

Yeah my guess without seeing it is that you did fry your amp. You really need to hook up two fuses inline on your power feed; one no farther than 18" from you battery and one inline at you amp.

Will not power

are u sure you didn't blow a fuse? check the fuses to make sure you did not blow one because the amp will not work in that case. make sure you are not over working your amp as well because it seems like that amp is not big enough to power all four of those subs. usually 4 channel amps are used to power speakers not subs. what is the rms on your subs and amp? i could better tell whether your amp is big enough. thanks hoped this helped

Remote wire hook up

The Remote wire should connect to the remote turn on lead from you radio(most aftermarket radios use a blue and white or a blue wire for the remote turn on). This wire will send a 12v signal to the amp from the radio when the radio is turned on. You can disconnect the remote turn on lead from the amp and jump a wire from the terminal marked battery to the remote turn on terminal just to see if the amp powers up. Do not leave it this way however because your amp will not shut off and your battery will go dead.

2 12 p3d212 2 ohm hooking up to a rockford

Hello a_brake11,

The P325.1 is relatively small to power a pair of P3's. You'll only get 325 watts RMS at 2 ohms (162.5 watts per sub). The P3's power range is from 100-500 watts, so they will work, but don't expect them to be really loud.

For best power, your subs should be wired with the voice coils in series and then the 2 subs paralleled to the amp resulting in a 2 ohm load.

Hope this helps.

I have a Rockford Fosgate 1500 BD amplifier and terminals for the power cable will not loosen or tighten how do I fix it

First off will the fastener turn ? If not try using a bit of wd-40 and letting it "soak" for a little while . Also be sure you are using a good proper sized Phillips screwdriver . If the fastener still won't turn try using a can of "computer duster " inverted so the liquid comes out , note this will be well below zero degrees , and freeze the screw head , then try turning . If the fastener is stripped and the ttol slips you will have to remove the amp cover and grip it with a pair of vise grips ,pliers or a flat blade screw driver .
