yes i had the same problem it is the power supply and this is were you can get it (Discount-Merchant.com) but you have to pull the power supply out of the tv and get the ser number off the board

Hello,

The problem is from a board in the television.

The board is known as a t-con board.

Have a repairman replace the t-con board of the television and it will be okay once again.

NB: You can replace the television if you wish to. But if you get the t-con board replaced, it will be in good condition again.

Vertical IC damaged need to be replaced

i had the same issues.. i took the TV into a repair shop and they replaced a peice for $40.00 (Canadian)

Try to see if it is on CHNL 3 for cable, that could very well cause it.

If it was my TV I'd recycle it then buy a name brand set, Proscan sets are plagued with issues.

If it is a copy remote for the Proscan Model you have, it should work when you insert the batteries. If it is a Universal Remote, you need to put the Proscan Code into it.
