Easiest way without voiding your warranty would be send it for RMA. If it's not possible and you feel daring, you can buy the new part, open up the tablet and replace the connector

Check to be sure that your USB is not "write protected." Are you trying to save this to a jump-drive? It would be good to know what it is (device) that you're trying to save to. You may also have to change the properties of the device you're saving to. Need more info.

If you have used some registry cleaner, it might have erased a registry value. Try to restore the computer to an earlier configuration. I imagine you cannot login into the computer and a password on boot is preventing you from doing anything. There is nothing you can do yourself. You must take or send the Toshiba R10 tablet PC to a Toshiba Certified Service Center to have the password removed or reset. You will have to pay for the service as the R10 is old and may no longer be under warraty.

If this is under warranty take it back. If it isn't power the unit on with just the battery powering the unit. When you see the Windows splash screen drop the battery out after the screen goes black put the battery back in and press the power button. This should bring up the on screen menu telling you it failed to start or shut down correctly. Select, Boot in Safe Mode and see if the system will power on. If that fails you need to do a system restore. To access system restore options power the unit on and press and hold the F10 key, this will bring up the restore Windows options. From that menu select to restore your operating system. If that fails you will have to do a complete restore to factory default settings. If that fails you will have to replace the hard drive.

The recovery partition is still on the hard drive, use it to restaure the system:
Turn the computer off.
Press 0 and turn laptop on while maintaining pressure on 0 key
Once you see Hardrive recovery Mode displayed release the 0 key
Follow instructions on screen.

If your laptop is relatively new you can ask Toshiba product support to put you in contact with the company that sells the Recovery CD. They will need the laptop's serial and model number. The recovery CDs cost about 45 $ + applicable taxes.
