buenas noches. tengo un problema con mi proyector.. hace unos minutos encendio y se veia la imagen pero luego lo desconectaron y cuando volvi a encender solo prende la luz de power pero no sale la imagen quen podra ser???

even if a fan spins it still can be noisy.clean all fans (i use a tooth brush).i also buy air in a can..(poundshop sells them).and spray them to clear any dust.when you have done that start the projector and see if is sorted...

if not even an led comes on, you need to replace the power supply.

It maybe the ballast (lamp power supply) that has a fault.

its even not available at dell. i've spent an hour looking for that freakin part number and found none!!

You will found that there are some mirrors (4 of them, making a 'tunnel')just behind the color wheel. I assume these mirrors are positioned tohelp focus the light from the lamp into the first lens element making a sharpand bright beam to be then hit the DLP chip. These mirrors are betweenthe color wheel and the first lens element. These mirrors mayhave come loose inside the assembly, and may be sliding around. Check ifone mirror was broken on the corner. A broken mirror caused the light is notbeing properly focused on the DLP chip resulting no image as well as themirrors distorting the light beam causing the darkened wavy shadows in the image. It also couldbe the lamps ballast that is your issue or the lamp counter reset might havegone bad on you. Most dells the ballast would be the problem area. The ballastis what the lamp connects to. That is what powers the lamp. When those go badyou will this type of problems. Check the lamp again, check the lampdoor, and finally check the ballast. AV

Yes, it can be replaced; but Dell replacement parts are very hard to find. Also, it is tricky to open the equipment and not damage any other parts during the process. If you don't work on electronic equipment, I would take it in for service. Other suggestions on the web say to buy a used one for replacement parts if you want to do the work, because they cannot find service manuals or parts - except for bulbs. The color wheel for my Toshiba was $160, and the lamp was bad at the same time.

there is a problem with the power to the front fan from the main board. there are 3 wires going to the fans: one power, one return, and one signal. if the main board reads no signal from the fan's speed, it'll shut down. check the power going to the fans and the signal. you may need to replace the main board.

In system preferences, open Display and select Video Mirroring "On".

This is usually caused by dust getting on the mirrors. You will have to take the projector apart to clean the mirrors. Also I am going to include instructions for Self Diagnostics.

Self-diagnostic for video

• Dell 2200MP projector provides self-diagnostic test of the projector video display (for Video, S-video, Component-I). Use this advanced feature for preliminary self-diagnostic on your projector when encountering the display problem for video.
• After turning on the projector, press "+" and "-" buttons on the control panel simultaneously and release the buttons when screen goes blank.
• Contact Dell if the projector doesn't enter diagnostic mode or if the colors are incorrectly displayed.
• Press "+" and "-" buttons again to exit the diagnostic mode.
• While in Self-diagnostic mode, the screen will run a seven-color-cycle test as following: "Red--> Green--> Blue--> White--> Watchet Blue--> Dark Green--> Yellow." Ensure that the colors of the test pattern are correct.

One person reported vertical black banding on the right of the screen, and someone told them it was a bad control board. I would contact Dell Support and see what they say. I've also heard of fan noise on these devices, but I wouldn't think that's what's going on in this case.

Try changing the screen resolution to a lower resolution like 640x480

Hi you need to check the cable to see if it is faulty you can do so by trying another cable or by trying that cable on another computer,you need to check the USB port also,try to connect using another USB port.
