the receiver is ok. it is telling you that CD is assigned to digital #2 input, surround mode is stereo and there is no input signal. You need to connect a source to digital2 input (coaxial or optical) and you'll get sound from it.

If your unit is working fine in every function except this one, it indicates the receiver is working properly, the only suggestion I can offer is try another set of HMI cables.

Try to unplug it ..cause it may be just in a protective stand by ..and after that ..take a look to teh settings ..and the other things that feeds the signal ..The error may came from another not working device ..(antenna or such ) Usually if they have no incoming signal ..they get into stand by after 10 minutes..or so ..

If your turntable has an stereo output through it RCA output connector make sure that the RCA cord you are using is new means there is no cut of wires inside it .check the continuity by connecting the RCA cord to the auxiliary input of your reciever then touch the plug with your hand.you should hear a loud humming audio left and right following which plug you are touching.it means the cord is good.if only one channel you hear then replace the cord.good luck..
