Removal of Scratches on TV Screen
you can try toothpaste. use on the scratched areas in a circular motion for around 5 minutes. This can reduce, and remove scratches from plastic, and even glass. Wipe of with a clean soft fabric or tissue paper lightly moistened.
Another solution is scratch-out. Which is used to repair spiderweb scratches in the clearcoat on automobiles. This is a polymer coating on cars. Your screen is also a polymer. follow the directions carefully, and don't get too aggressive with it. If it doesn't work, what you lost?
The poster above is obviously inexperienced with this type of thing.

We got yard long deep
Hi,
I am sorry to hear this. There are only ' limited ' tricks you could apply as deep scratches are usually very hard ( or nearly impossible ) to remove. You could use few tricks to lessen their affect. You could try to use Meguiar's PlastX which is a plastic scratch/buffing product. This is the best available product on CRT monitor.
Note - As i mentioned the effect could be minimized but cannot be repaired. Other stuff available in the market could harm the screen and make it even worse.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Is it possilble to repair a scratched lcd tv
Hi
Typically, all lcd screens have a protective film coating that is scratched is not the matrix. If the scratches are not deep you can try them polished tool for polishing cd drive. If you scratch deeper and you will not be able to remove them yourself, contact a service center to replace the protective cover the screen it will cost a low price

How to fix a big scratch on a projection tv screen
Is it the screen itself or the protective screen that is scratched. If
it's the protective screen, then you can just remove that, but be
warned the lenticular screen is now prone to scratches from kids, dogs
or a clumsy significant other. But if you feel comfortable with no one
bumping into it, then you can remove the protective screen and actually
get a better picture quality with no glare.
If it's the actual lenticular screen (one behind the protective screen)
then your in trouble and it will cost a pretty penny to get fixed. You can
switch it out yourself once you buy a new one, but have two people
handy, the instructions on how to replace should be in the owners
manual.

I have a 3 inch scratch on my plasma tv that
You must determine whether or not the scratch is on a protective fromt screen or the panel itself. I don't know your specific model, but some of the LGs have a front glass behind which is the actual panel. If that is the case with yours, you can replace the front glass. If it is only the panel, then there is no way to repair other than replacing the panel which is VERY expensive.
If you wish to try something, go to a local auto parts store and purchase a windshield repair kit. This will contain an optically transparent epoxy that can fill in the scratch and make it at least less noticable similar to filling a scratch or crack on a windshield.

Won't Power On
as you have seen inside that no power & no light.
problem seems to be in power supply.
1 check fuse.
2 check switching ckt.
3 check for loose contact or print break.
4 now if you get power on & still tv is not ok then check for hor. output transistor in hor. output stage.
if you are not tech person please do not try to fix it as high voltage is there inside.

Sratches on tv screen
Try toothpaste first. take a cuetip, get a little on it, and rub in circles, if it's a longer scratch you can just use your finger. Rub in a circular motion for a few minutes. Clean it off with smooth cloth or tissue paper lightly moistened. Make sure that it's a very soft cloth or you can scratch it further.
the other thing to try is a product called scratch-out for cars. It removes scratches from the polymer clear-coat of cars. follow the directions carefully, (rub on, let dry, rub off with clean cloth), if it doesn't work, you are no worse off.

Sound problem
Is it a hissing sound ? If it is a hissing sound and you can smell ionized air (ozone) then there may be some high voltage leaks (corona discharge) in the High voltage supply coming from the flyback transformer.
This happens when there is a path to ground because of dirt dust or spider web, or your surrounding is humid.
