DVD player cant read DVD media
.Vob files contain audio, video and subtitles all together. However, most MPEG-2-capable DVD players don't support subtitle tracks. I guess your DVD player is in the mentioned majority. That's why you can only play them in your computer drive.
What does check regional code mean?
It means your DVD player has a different region code to the disc you are attemting to play.
DVD's and most DVD players have a region code corresponding to the country/region in which they were purchased. The region code printed on the disc must match the region code of the player, usualy found on the rear of the unit or in the manual. Only players set to code 0 or 9 are able to play all regions, a setting of 1- 6 is most common. 1 = USA 2 = Europe etc.
It is often possible to set your player to code 0 or 9 enabeling you view all region DVD's.

Dvd player skips after it warms up.
Hello Forshythemart,
I've seen this happen many times do several brands of dvd player.
The one questions if where do you have your dvd player ? In an entertainment cabinet ? On top of another piece of electronic equipment perhaps ?
The reason I am asking these questions is that I believe your dvd player is overheating. Typically that will cause it to stop working properly. You need to make sure it is getting better ventilation be it outside of a cabinet or making sure it isn't sitting on anything generating more heat.
If this isn't the case then please post back and let me know. The more information you can provide the better I can help solve your problem. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

I have a LG dvd
player 5083 inserted the disc the correct way into the draw but the machine does not play the disc a very slight humming noise is heard then it spits the drawer back out
Clean the Lens: Use a DVD cleaning disc to clean the lens. If the problem persists, consider professional cleaning.
Test Other Discs: Try playing different DVDs to see if the issue occurs consistently. If it's specific to one disc, that disc might be the problem.
Check for Updates: Make sure your DVD player's firmware is updated. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for firmware updates.
Try a Different TV: Connect your DVD player to a different TV to see if the noise disappears. If it does, the issue might be with your TV.
The hum is simply the player trying to read the disc. It can't so, it spits it out.
Remember that prolonged use of a malfunctioning DVD player could potentially cause damage. If the problem persists, consider seeking professional repair or replacement
