Read the manual is the easiest way to get it to work- check Mic volume and make sure the mic you are using is wired correctly. If it is a condenser mic, the JVC does not provide power to it so that could be one reason.

Unfortuneately, you will need the original remote to do that.

Logically, it would have to change the disc speed or the read cache would eventually over- or under-flow.
CD rotational speed is always varying to provide a constant linear velocity as the playback radius changes even without Key Change.

There's nothing special about the original power cord, so I'd go to Radio Shack and get it for $8

Try switching from PAL to NTSC or from NTSC to PAL. There should be a switch on the back near your video cable connections.

Try a different input on amp. If youre using "cd", try a different input. Temporary fix. If not, then switch it with the tv input.

make sure wires are connected properly. check switch on back of unit, ntsc-pal. whatever its on, switch it. check input on tv. video1 video2 channel 3 etc.

Hi. To find out if your headphones are broken, plug them into one or two other items you know work. if you dont get any sound still, you know the headphones are busted and need replacing
