Craftsman 3/4 HP Chain Drive Garage Door Opener with Keyless Entry - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Problem with craftsman garage door opener
That is a two-flash code. It means either the wires to the safety sensors have a short in them, or one or both sensors are wired incorrectly at the motor unit. What you describe sounds like there may be a break in the wire, and the door causes the tracks to move just enough to open that break in the sensors. There could be a staple through the wires causing a short (I've done that when using a staple gun), and that could be your problem. Check your sensor wires from the motor down to the sensors themselves, and be sure they have a little bit of wiggle room. If you find a staple or something has cut the wires and caused a short, you can separate the wires a bit, and wrap each side separately with electrical tape.

Garage Door Opener
Adam, I don't know how old the GDoor opener is but if it has served you for long time, it's asking for retirement. These days brand new units are cheap and will give you many years of trouble free use.

How do I fix an exterior mobile home door that's not lining up properly?
Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks category.
Look at the corners of the doors that hold the aluminium frame together and if it is a modular door, tighten them up. If it is a solid door, adjustment can be made by shimming behind the bottom hinge with a piece of cardboard. This will move the bottom out and up.

Garage door opens too far and ends up 2 or 3 inches into the motor housing. How do I fix this issue.
Check the opening limit dial on the garage door opener unit. You can locate the dial that controls the opening limit on the opener unit and use a flat head screwdriver to turn the dial counter clockwise until the door stops about an inch and a half away from the stop bolt. Then, test the door and make sure it does not slam into the bolt. A video tutorial on how to adjust the opening limit of a Craftsman garage door opener is available on YouTube.
If the above step does not work, check the limit switches on the garage door opener. Most garage door openers have limit switches that control how far the door opens and closes. Improperly adjusting these switches can cause the door to stop halfway. Consult your garage door opener's manual to learn how to adjust the limit switches. Make small adjustments until the door closes fully.
