You will need to change the two convergence ICs they are both STK392-110 and you may also need the convergence resistor kit for your model. You can get replacement ICs and resistor kit at the following link and they provide free instalation instructions with pictures.

make sure your front panel lock in your menu is not lock if is then unlock it cause it will lock everything on the tv in front and can't move anything

go to menu then to center ch input and turn that off

you should be able to repair the traces if you do it carefully. That small circuit board is way over 300.00 if you can find it.

There is two ICs on the left side of the printer wiring board.that board is separated from other boards

Actually I would go and have gone with many times, the STK392-150's They handle more wattage than the original 110's but don't draw as much current as the 180's, which is good for the surronding resistors. It is a good balance and has worked for me many times. Hope this helps.

You need to replace the two convergence Ics STK392-110 they are located on the small board up front. behind the speaker grille and access panel. You can get new ICs at the following link as well as free instructions on how to do the repair yourself and save several hundred dollars for a 30 minute repair. Here is the link.

Sounds like you have had a powersurge during the night.
The power supplies on both units will have to be inspected and repaired. The expense for this type of thing can grow rapidly depending on how much damage has been done.

Check your other appliances and see if they are all OK like the washing machine other tv's etc.

If there was any kind of storm activity during the night it could have also been a lightning strike to the antenna.

1. Make sure you have connected the cables from audio OUT on the Directv box to the audio IN on TV input 3 and have selected the correct source on the TV.

2. Many sat boxes have an audio volume control. Select the satellite box on the Directv remote and turn up the box's volume.

check your soldering and make sure all the pins are soldered and you don't have any solder bridges.
have you checked the resisters?

gave the crt's a little rat-tat-tap be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are other possibilities as well. Look at the front of the green projector tube and see if it looks like the cooling liquid has been leaking out or if it is not clear all across the screen.
could also be convergence ic's

only thing i can tell you is too look inside and see whats burnt or popped?

why are you spending so much! you could get the board repaired for a fraction of that ptscorp.com
or do this yourself.
