Sounds like you have had a powersurge during the night.
The power supplies on both units will have to be inspected and repaired. The expense for this type of thing can grow rapidly depending on how much damage has been done.

Check your other appliances and see if they are all OK like the washing machine other tv's etc.

If there was any kind of storm activity during the night it could have also been a lightning strike to the antenna.

Actually I would go and have gone with many times, the STK392-150's They handle more wattage than the original 110's but don't draw as much current as the 180's, which is good for the surronding resistors. It is a good balance and has worked for me many times. Hope this helps.

1. Make sure you have connected the cables from audio OUT on the Directv box to the audio IN on TV input 3 and have selected the correct source on the TV.

2. Many sat boxes have an audio volume control. Select the satellite box on the Directv remote and turn up the box's volume.

No you cannot! There is a switch on the convergence pnl for complete convergence. You can make things 10 times worse if you don't know what your doing.

You can follow from fly back the B+ supply is directly connected to the horzontal out put transistor.

Your TV most likely a convergence failure. ( common problem )

Here are some of the most common symptoms and example photos of a convergence problem

• Screen looks 3D
• Colors don't line up
• One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
• Screen is bowed or warped.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

SOLUTION

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses. Its a fairly easy DIY job or you can call in a pro. If you want to do the repair yourself check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. Their kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, email/phone support, etc.

There are other possibilities as well. Look at the front of the green projector tube and see if it looks like the cooling liquid has been leaking out or if it is not clear all across the screen.

why are you spending so much! you could get the board repaired for a fraction of that ptscorp.com

Sounds like the green tube is shot, tap on the green board see if theres a loose connection, with something hard plastic

check your soldering and make sure all the pins are soldered and you don't have any solder bridges.
have you checked the resisters?
