Tries websites like Tvrepairworld.com,Tvrepairkits.com to buy the whole convergence kit for the repair,yes it cost alots more than most placed,but it put togetther by the professionals reparing thse DLP tvs for years.The kit's will be gaureentee have the wright 2 STK chips and all those resistors,pico fuse most often burn too.The kit also came with a instructional DVD.

What is the location number of resistor on the board? I assume you are replacing the STK ICs
is one resistor in that circuit? It has to be a low ohm resistor What are the Band Colors on resistor?
Example brown,red,black 1.2 ohms

If you are asking about the round looking plastic part that has liquid in them it contains coolant fuild for tubes In this set they are not called Lamps they are Tubes RED/Green/Blue Tubes, picture tubes. You didnt say what problem are you having with TV?

The tv having a problems known as a convergence problems,it dying,going to be dead sooner or later.The tv colors lines R,B,G mis alignment,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike.The tv convergence board the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dying going to be dead.These parts on the tv convergence board,must replaced these parts to solved the tv picture convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

You will need to find the service manual to get the EXACT VALUES AND TOLERANCE.No room for error. Not .2 tenths off.

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

You will need to replace the two STK-392-110 CONVERGENCE chips this set uses--see attached photos of the board in your set.

The board is fairly easy to get out (I can tell you how) and a pair of the chips on EBAY is under 12 dollars---interested?

Sounds like a convergence problem!
and sounds like just need some alignments

This is a CRT tube tv?Yes,than high voltage is dead.The FBT-Flyback transformer is dead.Take the aparts,check the big block of plastic with a red wire with a black cap that hook to the CRT-Tv tube.U hear buzzing sound came from the FBT?Replaced the FBT-the flyback transformer should solved ur tv problems.

do not play with this tv replace the stk ic chips and the resistors around the stk chips ,cant miss em about 2 inches big with heat sinks on them.

Set uses two of the STK-392-110 chips and board they are mounted on is easy to get out---On EBAY a pair will cost about 12 dollars. Total parts cost should be under 25 dollars. I can tell you best way to get at them and replace them.

Press CC (close caption) button on tv remote to turn off close caption box or got to tv menu and turn it off.
Black box will disappear.

This is a good set, if problem is that it looks 3d (see attached photos) it is a convergence problem.

Considering if you can do it yourself total parts cost will be under 25 dollars!
