However, you can use the natural logarithm (ln, base e = 2.7182818...) and the formula log2 ( x ) = ln( x ) / ln( 2 ) To calculate the base 2 logarithm of 16, key in [ln] 16 [/] [ln] 2 [=] and get displayed the correct answer 4.
