Remove speaker wires and try to reset. If it resets ck wires for a short.

I agree with kenw392. I tried to post a solution earlier from my phone but it kept telling me I had illegal characters in my post, which is silly, because they were all normal letters.

Assuming its a fairly new model...when tye unit is on..hold the menu button down until it finally beeps..u may have to hold it for a bit..then scroll through options till u find clock...then depress dial button and set time..then hold dial button to set once complete

The only thing I can suggest is,the person who installed the stereo must have hooked up the main power wire to the light fuse in the fuse panel.

The head unit should have two separate +12V connections: One that goes to a switched 12V power that is switched on/off via the ignition and one that is always energized at +12V. If the head unit's switched +12V lead is not connected, the unit will not turn on (except for when +12V is first applied to the "always on" lead, in which case it will immediately eject the CD). Please respond if this is not the issue. Hope this helps!
