Paper is not being fed from paper holding drawer.

It sounds like the feed tire is dirty, OR the feed clutch has sprung. Remove the paper tray On the right side of the copier where you feed the single sheet, you pull down the door. This exposes a fat gray or black feed roller. Take a clean dry towel and dampen it with wd 40. Gently wipe the roller with the cloth turning the roller toward the paper exit direction. Let the WD 40 soak in for ten minutes, replace the paper tray and try to make a copy. If it does, you need a feed roller which will rquire a service cal/take it in. If still no feed the 'clicking' may be a sprung clutch, service call required.

If this helps, please let me know with a vote, thanx

YOur problem is likely worn feed rubber. It is an old machine. Has it ever been serviced?
Did this happen after a paper jam?
Try this: UNPLUG the copier Take out the paper tray. Prepare a dry cloth that is dampened with WD 40. Open the door on the right side of the coper. You should see 1 large, gray or black rubber roller. Gently wipe the roller with the WD 40 cloth, slowly turning the roller. It only turns 1 way, towards the exit direction of the paper from the copier.

Let the WD 40 soak in, about 10 minutes. Put the paper tray back in, plug the copier back in and try to make a copy. If it makes a copy, the feed roller needs replaced, If it doesn't make a copy, check the top sheet of paper in the tray. If you see skid marks, you definitely need a feed roller. No, they are not easy to change.

As long as the roller feeds, go for it. When it starts slipping then you'll have to do something about that feed roller.

I would say that the Print switch on the control panel PCB has a broken solder joint. If you know how to get the control panel off and know how to use a solder iron, you can fix it. Or you will need to get a new control panel or you can call a local service rep. Good Luck...

Hello.

It's very frustrating to get a faulty cartridge, but it does happen from time to time with any manufacturer.

For your paper feed problem, open the cover (slightly) where the paper feeds in and you will see some rubber rollers (likely top and bottom), Try cleaning these with a rag dampened with some alcohol (preferably), or water, and turning gently (do not force).

Hope this helps.
