Eddy current
Make sure that the video cable is connected to the same input that the audio is connected to. (ex. video 1 input matched to audio 1 input) If not that I would replace the video cable.
I have a hitachi 65s700. why would i need to
software change all the time. If you want everything to work properly you need to keep it up to date. Programs may stop working or freeze up if they are not in sync. It is up to you, but it is a good Idea.
HELP MY PICTURE IS RED AND SLIGHTLY BLURRY
It is probably a convergence problem which would involve solder work to change convergence i.c.s or if there are not colored shadows around everything it could be a problem with tubes. On a few of these I was able to remove the front grill and take off the small door, and with an insulated screwdriver gently tap on the neck of the tubes with the set on. Now if the picture flickers you have some particles on the filaments of the tubes and sometimes the debris will break free when you perform this, allowing your picture to restore full color and brightness without changing any parts whatsoever. Otherwise, the convergence chips are located on a large metal heatsink and have a generic part number printed on the front of each. Sometimes you have to remove a pressure clip to see it. Hope this helps, Russmann.
I have sound but no picture - cannot change channel, input, ant etc
first thing is unplug the set from the wall for 10 min.
Check also carefully to see if one of the buttons on the tv is stuck in the on position.
or if cleanig solution was used on the screen and it ran down onto the switches. if so spray WD40 on them.it will not harm your tv.
Last option is a bad EEPROM.
Thanks Guy9
Double focused, red and green, bow in picture top and bottom
hi
You have a convergence problem
If the set has auto focus and will not complete its cycle.
The Auto focus module is bad, (expensive)
If it completes and the problem is still there.
Then check for bad conv. drivers (stk****) or cold solder joint on one or more of the 3 drivers pins.

Whining sound
This is a 15 k frequency sound
It is usually caused by one or more of the components in the High voltage circut,
with the set on and the back off, take pencil with an eracer.
Then push on each of the coils or transformers to see if it stops or diminishes.
if so coat the part with silicone sealer spreading to at least 2 components nearby. let dry.
This may help.
Thanks guy9
When turned on the TV flickers screen goes black then comes back in 15min and is fine? Anyone?
Okay, I'll try. First, unplug the set for 2 minutes and retry. If you have on-screen-display when this happens, try another input and a different set of patch cables to eliminate any simple problems. Then remove rear cover and peek through to see if tubes are lighting and listen for current to the tubes. There are usually small green and red lamps on the board which will flash upon failure in the set. These are there to direct us to the failed circuit. That should get you started. Good luck, Russmann.
Hitachi 65inch Projection TV
Oh so it is a used TV set. You may have the leaking CRT coolant dripping onto the printed circuit boards and shorting them out. Have you tried the video inputs yet? If those are bad as well, the DM-1 board could be bad. There really is no definite thing that could cause this I'm afraid. Have the set checked out be a trained tech. Good Luck
Change input on Hitachi LCD TV model LE65K6R9 without remote?
I'd unplug/disconnect the Roku and after 30 seconds try the control button on the back. If you can change the input do so, then plug the Roku back in. Until you use the input button on the back to change input to Roku, you should be able to use the other buttons on the back to control the TV. If this does not work, unplug both the TV and the Roku. Wait maybe a minute, then plug the TV back in and follow the above instructions. Here are other alternatives: Using physical buttons: You can find the physical buttons on the left or right back side of the Hitachi TV. Using these keys, you can change the input, adjust the volume, or turn on Hitachi TV without a remote. Press the Input button located at the back or side of the Hitachi TV. The list of connected sources will appear on the TV screen12.
Using external devices: Connect a wireless keyboard or mouse to your Hitachi TV and change the input1.
Buy a universal remote: You can buy a universal remote to control your Hitachi TV and change the source.

How to remove small popup bottom left of Hitachi smart tv screen.
A little popup that appears in the lower left corner of your Hitachi smart TV screen may be related to one of the TV's settings or capabilities. You can attempt the following actions to get rid of it:
1.Investigate notifications:
Smart TVs occasionally show notifications for different events or upgrades. If there are any notifications, look for them and then clear them by following the on-screen directions.
2.Applications and Inputs:
Make sure all programmes and inputs are closed. The popup may occasionally be connected to an input source or app, which can be closed to get rid of it.
3.On-Screen Display (OSD) Off:
There might be an OSD option in the settings menu on Hitachi TVs. Try disabling OSD or changing its settings to see if it gets rid of the popup.
Verify any software/firmware updates:
4.Make that the most recent firmware or software upgrades are installed on your TV. Pop-up windows may appear as a result of faults in outdated software. Look for a software update option in the TV's settings menu.
5.Firmware Reset:
You can conduct a factory reset on your TV if the problem persists after you've tried various troubleshooting measures. The default values for all settings will be restored as a result. Make cautious to back up any crucial data before doing a factory reset because doing so will also remove any customised settings and data.
6.Message Hitachi Support here:
If none of the aforementioned fixes the problem, it's a good idea to get in touch with Hitachi customer service or refer to the TV's user manual for detailed instructions on how to get rid of the popup.
Regarding External Devices:
7.The popup may be related to any external devices you have connected to your TV, like a cable box or game console. Make sure that these gadgets are operating properly and that the settings have been changed as necessary.
Keep in mind that depending on the type and software version of your Hitachi smart TV, the precise processes and options may change. For instructions unique to your TV model, consult the user manual, or go to the Hitachi website for further help options.

Hitachi LE42S704 none of the HDMI ports work, need to update (i think)
Are you getting the various HDMI inputs on the screen but it acts like nothing is connected? We have repaired hundreds of TV's with no HDMI signal over the years and have never had an update correct this issue. There is an IC close to the HDMI input jacks (U501) that decodes the data, that's always been the defective part. You can order the part and change it but you will need advanced soldering skills and the equipment to do it, I'd recommend replacing the main board if you can find one.

Can't highlight or select digital channels to autoscan on hitachi 51f59a
It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your Hitachi 51F59A TV not allowing you to select or highlight digital channels for autoscan. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:
- Check the TV's settings: Make sure the TV is set to the correct input (such as "TV" or "antenna") and that the channel search or autoscan feature is turned on. Consult the TV's manual or the on-screen menu for instructions on how to access these settings.
- Check the TV's connection: Make sure the TV is properly connected to a digital antenna or cable box. Also, check that the cables are securely connected and not damaged.
- Check for a firmware update: Sometimes a firmware update can resolve issues like this. Check the TV's manual or the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to check for and install firmware updates.
- Try a factory reset: If the above steps don't work, you can try performing a factory reset on the TV. This will restore the TV to its original settings and may resolve any issues with the channel search or autoscan feature. Consult the TV's manual or the on-screen menu for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
- Check for a hardware issue: If none of the above solutions work, the issue could be caused by a hardware problem with the TV. In this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a repair professional to have the TV serviced.
