It wont turn on keeps

It is not exactly beeping nise but high pitched nise mst likely to be coming from the deflection board due to faulty HV components. The first thing to check to verify this is to see which of the leds on the delfection have gone off. Do you have any prior experience in working on electronic PCBs? Would you like to fix it yourself? Be aware that this is a high voltage circuit and should not be fiddled with if you have never worked on something like this before. If you would like to give it a shot let me know and I will help you loacted the deflection board and continue with the diagnosis

I got a 43FDX11B Hitachi

All projection TV sets have two very common problems. One is convergence ( 3D/Warped video) the other is CRT fluid ( Dull Video). Here are more details and solutions for both.

Common Problem #1) Convergence has gone out

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.

Common Symptoms include....

  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
  • TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some pics of convergence problems.

Common Problem #2) CRT Fluid is Cloudy

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

This is a common problem called convergence, I will attach a few photos of typical convergence problems.

In your set it is a fairly easy repair but does require being able to get at the two convergence chips.

Parts cost will be under twenty dollars (I can tell you best place to find them)

If you are able to solder let me know and I will assist you.

I have a Hitachi 43FDX10B that has got too much

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded overs.

I have 5 thin vertical white lines on the screen

It looks like the problem is comming from your LCD chips, they are starting to burn out and that is why you get this lines across your tv set, if you leave it like that the problem is only going to get worst
the lines will get bigger until it finally covers your whole screen you need to replace the OPTICAL BLOCK to fix this problem
good luck hopes this helps
