The trick for
petite people is to create an illusion of elongation. If you keep the design
simple but long it should create the illusion of height. Avoid very puffy,
meringue type styles as they could overwhelm a small frame and will cause you
to disappear - exactly the issue you are worried about.
If you have
a very full figure, go for a mermaid style wedding gown that will give a
slimming effect or a high-waisted A-line dress with a low neckline. Don't go
for a really clingy style or material that will just highlight all the wrong
bits.
If they truly did not send you the dress that you ordered then you should have no problem returning it. If you bought it and paid with PayPal file a complaint, or contact your credit card company. Be prepared to be able to prove that they shipped the wrong product.
One
suggestion is to wear to the suit without the vest. The vest is what makes it
seem like a very formal clothing item. You can just wear the suit by itself for
other people's weddings, interviews etc.
Also you can
use the vest without the suit, pairing it with jeans and a t-shirt when you go
out.
Vents are
the flaps on a suit jacket. In the 80s it was very popular not to have vents in
a suit jacket at all but now that has changed. 2 side vents are popular in the
European fashion scene. A central vent is a popular choice and you can't really
go wrong with that option.
An American suit is a style of suit that best suits larger frames as many Americans are traditionally larger than their European counterparts. Usually it's a three buttoned single breasted blazer and this also helps to complement the larger frame.
This is what I found, I'm sure they have socks too but I'm not sure they match...http://www.bhs.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=1&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=34096&storeId=13077&productId=6587682&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=471126&parent_categoryId=471108&pageSize=201
There are several ways to remove chewing gum from fabrics. 1. "GOOF OFF" is a solution that can be purchased for around $4-$5. It will work though. You should be able to find this at your local Walmart or local drug store. Good luck!2. Plain old ice. Yep! You can even add a little salt to the fabric when you hold the ice on the gum to freeze it and the salt will allow the temperature to plummet even lower. The colder the better. After about 15-20 seconds of holding the ice on the fabric, take a butter knife or a tool of some kind that will not harm the fabric and use it to peel the gum off of the coat. I have included a video to help you. I hope this works for you! Good luck and let me know if for some reason this doesn't work.
