Is the phone line plugged into the LINE port?

You don't need the back board as long as you can get the paper to feed in ok.

simple hit the " < or .> "I call these the arrow keys once you do this you will see the ringer go louder or softer to your ideal preference. and once you select your preference your Done

if you make a copie does it do the same thing

This proseger will ram clear the machine & reset it to factory condition.
1. press the Function,9,*,8,#,7
2. Press the start key
3 Press the # or * to scroll throgh the menu till clear memory
4 Press the start key
5 Press stop key 2 times will bring you back out of maintance mode

If you make a copie and the lines are on the copie then the optics's are dirty, white out, ink or fourn oblrct on glass.

If you have clean the optics and the lines are still there then the C,C,D, needs to be replaces the part that reeds the documents.
more then what the fax is worth sorry.

open up the document feeder and clean the scanner glass.

I found that once I had posted my question I was able to get into the on-line manual, once you move all the way though the pages (it won't let you jump to the end and work backwards) the solution was right there.

Try to reinstall the cartridge and press NEW, then go through alignment process.

Look at your NEW print cartridge again, very carefully. I'll bet there's another piece of tape on the bottom of it. That's what happened to me.

Carriage assembly is broken. Uneconomical to repair.

Unplug the phone line while the fax is coming in and wait for the machine to print out an error report

Un plug the handset and try again.
