You may probably face this type of problem if you send or receive faxes regular basis. If sometimes you received a fax with blank pages, that may be the sender's fault he may have inserted the document upside down. To fix that you ask the sender to resend the document again.

But often if you received one or two pages blank, for example the last page of a document is blank, because of your previous fax pages are taken too much space to be stored. Same problem you may face when you try to send fax to someone. For that you have to delete fax pages before you save the fax. You can do it manually or can do with the third party software like " Tiff pdf Cleaner" - this will solve your problem.

There is a Fax in memory. Either, the machine has a paper jam, is out of paper, or needs the ink cartridge replaced. Fix the above and the fax will print and the machine should work in Fax mode again.

For a unit with paper and no paper jam, try adjusting the paper stack and check if the unit picks up the paper properly. If you have ink in the cartridge, try cleaning the print nozzles and contacts. If a nozzle cleaning from the unit doesn't work, do it manually. Use a damp cloth (lint-free) and wipe in one direction only. Dampen the cloth with bottled or distilled water for best results. Yes you can do this in the review print click and modify the text size using the word program until you get the right size. You can see it in the print preview section before you click print. John

A printer error has occurred. Open the printer
compartment cover, make sure the print cartridge is
installed correctly, and then close the cover.

The paper isn't properly loaded. remove the paper then there should be a lever near the paper loading section that you push or pull to let the paper enter the feeding area. put in paper and return the lever to the proper position. check your owners manual. to get a manual try www.sharpusa.com .

Removed the cartridge and wipe it with a alchohol swab until yuo remove the dry ink residue and try it again. If nothing of this is works maybe the ink is dry inside and you well need to replace the cartdrige.

Yes you can stop it printing the report. Use the menu to cruise through the settings for fax. You will find the reports section and recognize that you don't want the memory storage report, so disallow it by pressing th no key.

blank lines across fax: if you get it when receive its from the sender but if when you send or make a copy you should clean properly the scanner unit with alcohol and cotton, its the trace of corrector liquid

this lines that you have are from the scanner so you should clean the sscanner unit with alcohol and cotton becarful push the scanner unit softly.

install winfax program on your pc.then when you want to print with your fax,inprint menu choose winfax,and then you can print .

If everything is coming out Black it sounds like the lamp in the scanner has gone bad. If you can get the part from sharp it might not be hard to replace, but the cost may out weigh the cost of a replacement.

Scanner Failure. Make a copy on your machine. If it comes out black as well this means your scanner, the part that lights up and "scans" your document before sending it out has gone bad. Either the led's are not lighting up or the scanner board itself is bad. In any case the cost of repair is greater than the cost to replace these machines. You can buy a brand new plain paper fax these days for less than $100.
