You have memory lock up. to ram clear the machine we need to clear out all memory. ( like it came out if the box )
1. have machine turned on
2. press 8,*,9,#.7 ( this will git you in to the programing of the fax )
3. press start
4. press the # key till memory clear
5. press start !( will clear out all memory )
it should print out a memory clear report
6 press stop key 2 times now lets se how it worked

is this for a built in screen or computer because ther should be a little button that says release job or something like that try to look for that or refer to your owners manual.

with function key go to entry mode and own number set .change name and number

I need more information. If you make 20 copies do you still notice the problem or only when you receive a fax. What is your copy count (press life 1). Does it jam or make noises. At first glance I would say phone line problem. .

It's gone forever, once your machine received a EOT (end of transmission signal), your fax machine thinks it was received OK and clears it from memory.

Make sure you have a receiving tray. You can live without your sending tray. If you have the receiving tray and it says TRAY OFF thats because its not seated properly onto the frame. Make sure the tray engages the black sensor next to the speaker, also make sure you have paper in both trays to get rid of the OUT OF PAPER error. If the OUT OF PAPER error continues then you have a broken sensor in the upper tray.

Hold down the stop and start key while turning on the fax, let go when you see 1 for yes 2 for no for memory clear. Press 1.

Shake your toner then press LIFE 2 START. If the problem persist replace your toner then press LIFE 2 START. Your life button is located under the page plate(flip it over).

I have never seen this error code on a sharp FO 5700 are you sure that is the right model # or error code. I even did a search in the FO5700 service manual(no luck). I believe I have seen this code before on a sharp copier.

You have a bad printhead unit(laser unit) . The polygon mirror is not rotating within a specific amount of time. I recommend you to replace your fax unless your willing to spend between 200 to 500 dollars.

when you look at the front of the fax. above the paper cassette there is a gray,blue cover where the paper comes out when receiving or coping , that cover needs to be seated properly there is a mag switch that will shout down machine till it is in place.

Never have I seen this sensore go oit just the cover is out of position,

Make a copies with something with a lot of print. open top cover when the paper is 1/2 way through the machine. pull out the toner & drum unit's look at the drum is there a full image on the drum but not on the paper then it is a transfer problum. If no image on the drum then we have a laser unit problum. There is a shutter that opens when you put the drum in & closes the top cover. it may fallin out of place. hard to git at or somthing is blocking the laser beam ( paper, dust bunnyies or fourn objest ) hope this helps let me Know

Go underneath the machine and make sure that a black piece of plastic is secured in there. Sometimes they get pulled out when the tray gets removed.

Remove the tray out of the copier and look for one next to the feed tires.
