BOSe Wave Radio - Disk "not readable"
I had the same problem with the disk unreadable error and took my unit to a authorized repair dealer about 100 miles from where I live to have it fixed. It ended up costing me about $300 to have the CD unit totally replaced which is almost as much as I paid for the unit in the first place. I am like a lot of you that used the CD very little although the unit was about 3 years old. I think Bose has a problem and would like us to think it is very rare. I bought a Lifestyle surround system about 14 years ago that has a CD and have never had a problem with it so needless to say I am very disappointed in the Wave II Radio/CD system. I am fairly certain the problem will occur again, but only time will tell.
How to start a Bose acoustimass 9 powered subwoofer
The Bose cube systems are SYTEMS for a very good reason. They're made for people who want good sound but don't want to manipulate the hardware much. The speakers and amps are designed for each other ONLY, not only electrically but through soundshaping to provide the smooth final result. The design is for you to feed the
electronics a Line Level source and the magic and distribution happens internally. These are NOT mix 'n' match components. The special connectors are a clue. The 'different' amplifier will probably blow them up.
Bose radio won't turn on
My Bose wave radio (w/cd ) was purchased in 1999, it was working fine untill it quit. Power is gone. What could be the cause and how could i fix it or can it still be fixed?

ask theM first?,
that connector is not any kind of standard it is pure BOSE custom design, so ask them, or google all week. or wait here for years.
BOSE has no schematics unless you buy their expensive service manual. did you ask them most tell you it is not sold to customers only authorized BOSE service center,s why not ask them first.

WAVE radio transformer bad ???
If you can check ohms, you can also read volts. Open the radio again and look for DC volts on the rectifiers capacitors. They look like :cans", normally the color is blue. Check for positive dc v. against chassis ground. If no + tension, your rectifier or your secondary are open.
Non-working CD in Bose wave radio
Try replacing the battery on the bottom of the system - alot of people miss it because you have it constantly plugged into the mains, but replacing this (somehow) re-sets the system, and 9 times out of 10 solves the issue.
Where can i find a bose raidio battery door
Flip the unit upside down with display facing you, take your left hand and put down on the left side of the unit. Look at your thumb near buy or underneath it you will see a triangle with lines running through it thats the battery door for a 9v use the triangle for grip when sliding the door (Opens to the left). You will need 1-9v battery maybe different on newer models mine is a 1st generation model. Good luck, hope this helps.
Bose wave no sound
Unfortunately Bose will not release their schematics or parts lists, effectively giving them a monopoly on repairs. According to their web site, www.bose.com, they will repair most Wave radios for $100 or give you $200 credit towards the purchase of a new set. Check your options before you spend the big bucks though. A new HD radio, with better sound and a MUCH lower price, might be a better choice than repair of a problem prone Bose.

Radio will not turn on
My AWR1-1W stopped working. It would power up, but do nothing except occasional static. I was able to set the clock. The clock did work, but that's all. I know Bose products are high quality, so I was not ready to give up on my radio. I spent ages trying to find a fix online. I finally stumbled on something pertaining to another radio that gave me a clue. I opened the battery backup on the bottom and inserted 3 new AA batteries. The radio is now playing like new. I dont know why that would affect a radio plugged into an outlet, but it fixed mine! Good luck!
Audio cuts out on Bose AWRC-1P
hmmm it seems the output chip isnt getting stable voltage to keep itself running so it keeps turning itself off and trying to protect itself from damage when the voltage keeps dropping
