Sharp AR-160 Copier Questions & Answers
"little red man"
The "Little Red Man" stands for that the copier has reached it's set "P.M." counter and it is time to have the copier to have a general cleaning done. It is just a counter that comes up 10k, 20k, 60k, 80k or it is set not to count at all. It should not affect the copier it self. It has to be reset and set to "0" for no P.M. count.
The power is not working
First, check that the copier is plugged in and that all electrical connections are secured. If you have an owners manual, I would check there also to see if the problem is mentioned and a solution offered. If you don't have an owner's manual, you might be able to find one at the printer manufacturer's website in the support section in PDF format This is just a shot in the dark and and I would try the owner's manual first, but after all other options have failed, and if there is no "reset" button, you might try unplugging it for a couple of minutes and it should reset itself to factory default settings which might solve the problem. You will loose any settings and any work in progress. If those suggestions don't work, you can Google the printer name and problem to see if a solution is available in one of the many forums on technical matters and issues. Good luck.
U2 40
There is no Error code U2-40 for an AR-160. Did you mean an error code U2-04?

Pen eraser works best but be very gentle if you snap the wire you will need a tech. to restring it. If this doesn't work you could have a dirty laser glass. to clean this you need to remove developer box and drum ( loosen one blue screw on each)and the **** glass is inside above where the dv box was.
