Richard,It could be your disc is scratched or DVD+R can't be read in the DVD player. Check for any scratches. Then pop in the disc in to your PC DVD, to see if it's readable.

Unfortunately , Some DVD players cant read some DVD s and then it gives either "loading" or " no disc"..reading on the display...
it generally happens when you want to play "A copied DVD/CD " taken from somewhere else..
Just to make sure that such DVD is ok ,you can try to run them on your laptop.If the disc itself has problem, laptop does not read either..

if this remedy does not help and if your set has still under warranty ,consult to service they may replace the LASER Reader EYE...most of the time Laser Eye malfunctions and does this..
if it is not under warranty ,never ,never have someone repaired it..go buy a new one,It will be cheaper.. ...

Enter 03 on the channel buttons and then when it comes up hit menu and select add channel. You can also delete channels the same way.

Please let us know the complete model number of the VCR.

If your VCR does not have an output socket to connect the coax cable, you can connect it to the television using the AV cable. (See attached image)



Connect the AV cable to the AV-Out socket of the VCR and connect the other end to the AV-IN socket of the television.

We just unplugged our sony dvd player and plugged it back in and it worked.

that happend to me and we had to take it apart to figure out the problem.

Could a foreign object have been inserted into the tray? I have seen labels peel off and stick inside the mechanism, preventing it from reading the DVD. Also try unplugging it from the wall, let it sit for a few minutes (for the logic circuits to reset) then plug back in. Just turning it off does not reset the logic...

Usual suspects (I have seen each one of these):
1. Home-made DVD defective
a- bad blank
b- bad burn (software settings incorrect)
c- not finalized
d- bad DVD recorder
2. Commercial DVDs - very scratched near center hole where startup data lives
3. Dirty laser lens on DVD player
4. Bad circuitry in DVD player (repairs almost always cost more than a new player)

Your TV might of had died. Or it is due to the power supply not working anymore.It might be the power cord is bad for the TV.

the rear of all TV has a sticker label with model. like xya50zzz123445 50 " TV yes send it to a shop. seems the PSU is bad, or overloaded an that takes tests and meters to find. and service manual .both and skills take it to a shop is always best. or go broke guessing
