Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Search the site by type in the brand name of your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the Home page display" to see the set-up codes to your device, with different brand remote controls.
Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.
Tv turns off, says no imput then turns back on in 30 sec.
I have repaired this model a few times. You will need to replace the signal board. The signal board, also called the Main Board, has your RF connection, RCA and component Jacks and the HDMI hook ups. You will need to open this TV and find the correct part number, as there are four different boards used in this model. Look for the part number such as 3655-XXXX-0150. The X numbers are important, as they are unique to each TV (same model) but made at different times. In your case do not attempt to replace the eeprom on the main board, this is difficult, and you will want to save this TV anyway. Thanks for asking me, Matt of Martins TV.
Blinking Amber Light when power is attached to the unit.
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
What causes screen to go black
you have change main board cost 145 to 165 ? had same problem had repair came to the house tv shot he said!!!! i look further into and talk to other people it (main board) . this is for e550vl tv parts # there are couple of them 3655 0162 0150, 3655 0072 0150, 3655 0112 0150 and my tv took 3655 0152 0150 and take me 25min put back together after take tv back off and confirm part # on main board.
Screen goes black i still have audio
Check its back-light inverter board.Check the voltage that comes to this board, from the main power regulator board. If there is no voltage, check the reason. If voltage is there, and still there is no back-light, this board is likely to be faulty, and should be replaced. In most cases, this board is irreparable.
