My converter box light wont
this is not the place where you would send it, you need to contact the people you bought it from. One thing though, when you get a new one, buy a power surge protector so that it won't burn out again.
The red light stay on
corrupt board maybe affected.. mainly its memory.. need to replace new board for that...some causes if you dont turn it of properly or either low voltage area

If you're electronics savy, as in replacing capacitors, open it up.. that's your problem.. one or two of the caps on the power board has gone bad.. most likely a 470uf 25v, which can be replaced with a 470uf 35v found at Radio shack for about $1.29. You can tell if it's bad if the top is cracked open & leaking or just domed out instead of being flat.

Digial box was working great
I have had this happen to me, also, with my Apex Digital DT-250 but it usually was a result of me using a separate remote to change the volume on my analog TV. I realize this is not the same system setup that you have but it may offer some idea.
Convert box won't turn on.

First thing you have to do is to check for blown fuses, if found replace with the same rating type, but if otherwise thereby may be short circuited component . if you have basic knowledge in electronics,make use of a multimeter to read a component on the printed circuit board...

Until 3 days ago I
First of all try the reset.Unplug the unit from all the wires connected to it .Even the power wire.Remove all wires.Then wait for 2 minutes and reconnect all wires like it were before.also check the wires if they are getting short or cut in between or got loose from its connection.
then reconnect and check.if still the same problem then,The unit is shorted out.In the unit there is a board.This board is called main board.There is other board called power board.the power board is functioning but circuit board is got short.It has to be checked with meter.On this main circuit board there are many tiny components.If any of the one goes short due to overheating or loose connection or power surge or major electric failure or over load of electric then this components gets fail.so the unit receives power but will remain in stand by mode and not come in to function mode due to shorted main circuit board component.
There are many other users facing this same problem.Some get it repaired from electrician. And some who have basic knowledge of using meter and soldering iron try it them-self to replace the component.

Ok, firstly, if the player doesn't turn on at all, we might consider having a look at the fuse before we start thinking major repairs.
The fuse is located in the unit itself, so you need to open up the unit. Click

My Apex Converter (DT250A)will not
this means the unit is shorted out, so short of having it diagnosed and repaired there is nothing u can do, just to have a shop look at it to determine what may need to be done will cost about $60 US, so decide if the cost of a replacement is less than the cost of the repair to this one, as it is an APEX brand I would assume it can be replaced for less than the cost of a repair to the old one.
