Difficulty sewing quilt blocks

Try using a "walking foot" presser foot. It has feed dogs on the top to help all the layers go through evenly. A generic brand usually fits most all machines. :)

My bobbin thread keeps bunching

Hello

Make sure the bobbin is placed into the bobbin case so the thread is feeding counter clockwise and be sure the thread is slipped through the guide on the side of the bobbin case. Pull out a couple inches to make sure.

Simply pull out the bobbin thread with a long lead, put the assembled bobbin into the sewingmachine and take that long thread and close it between the sliding door and the machine itself to hold it temporarily.

Most sewing machine problems are caused by the usasge of wrong thread type. Make sure you have a thread that is for a sewing machine use, that is, good strong stuff, not hand needle basting thread as that will cause much problems.

Often the bobbin is thought to be the problem, those things are almost never the problem. A source of problems also is the usage of wrong or improperly machined flat on the needle itself. Be sure to buy a quality needle as that flat on there, if machined not deep enough will not allow the bobbin to pick up the thread, wind it around and form the stitch.

Make sure the tension is set according to the recommendations in the manual.

Place a folded scrap of fabric under the presser foot and lower the needle into the fabric. Stitch a few inches to see how the stitching looks. Do this test each time you change any of the settings.

If you have been sewing a fabric with a lot of nap (such as fleece) lint can accumulate in the bobbin case and surrounding area. Refer to the maintenance section and follow the instructions carefully to insure the correct placement of the bobbin case after cleaning. Lubricating will be addressed if it is required by the user.

I have a sears kenmore

This sounds like you are using the wrong bobbin. It is a very common problem. They look the same, but not necessarily the same. But if you use the wrong bobbin, this is exactly what happens.

When attempting to sew a

Is this a new machine? Even if it isn't, I would take it into Sears sewing machine department and have them try and figure this dilemma out. It won't cost you anything, because, don't forget, you are a potential new machine customer. And if it is a new machine have them give you a new one. I tried seeing if this problem happens in another brand to see if they have an answer for it but no one shows that particular problem. Good luck

The machine will not stitch.

You don't have the machine threaded right, make sure the thread is seated into the upper tension disc

Bobbin thread tangles

If you have threaded the machine with the presser foot up, check the bobbin to be sure the thread is feeding from the spool in the correct direction and through the guide on the bobbin case.......... and this still happens, then machine needs to go into the shop for service.
