Initially, I would venture that the Parental Lock has been engaged and was set to the lowest level meaning the TV will not allow any channel to be displayed, they are all blocked.

To remove the parental lock, proceed to the Main Menu display, press on LEFT or RIGHT arrow key till Parental Guide Setting is highlighted. Before you can access, an entry code is required. The factory default is 1225 (that is if it has not been changed). Upon gaining entry, press on UP or DOWN and/or LEFT or RIGHT arrow keys to turn any entry in the MPAA-Rating and/or the TV-Rating to show U (unblock). Additionally, it may also be necessary to turn the RATE SETTING to OFF. Exit.

To my knowledge Parental Lock is not disengaged by full hard reset or unplugging from mains.

There is a possibility that your speaker is defective, check the unit by using earphone . if still nothing is heard.adjust volume control minimum to maximum.still nothing.. audio amplifier is the next thing to blame. you may replace it. or call a serviceman to do that.

Who cares get a generic one at the store

Its a flyback. Why would you want to fix it? Other parts may have gone also....buy a new set instead. Avoid this brand.

Their **** and not worth the box they come in, but go ahead and buy one if you live in the hood and are worried about people stealing your sh.t.  They don't ever steal these things.  Guess crooks have higher standards.  If you live in a decent neighborhood, then Sony, Samsung, Sanyo, and LG are the way to go. These companies have more funds invested in R&D and better quality control, which should relate to better product.

Mine does that sometimes, except it just goes down one station and then stays there until I change it back. It's either the sensor going bad or one of the buttons is stuck.

my tv has a red key in the coner and the only thing that turns the tv on is the remote cant turn it on manually

does the remote have a dash or dot button on it? if so it has the digital tuner, you need the dash or dot button for the digital channels such as 2.1 2.2 7.1 7.3 etc...

Its not worth the repair if you still want to go ahead i need to know two things:
Are you going to have a qualified electronics technician fit it?
If you are planning to fit it yourself are you a qualified electronics technician?
If you answered no to both of these questions i cannot tell you where to get one or how to fit it due to the massive amounts of danger involved.

try to reset the settings of the tv. check the manual on how to reset it.

you can purchase the fly back from systems innovation on half way tree road. they order it for you and it takes two weeks for delivery. cost eighty nine united states dollars and that includes shipping costs.

There is a large capacitor in the power supply section. it is rated at 820uf @ 200vdc. It is bad. Change it and increase the voltage rating to at least 250vdc. The tv will be fine.
