DO WE NEED TO REPLACE THE TRANSFORMER AND WIRES?\Our furnace just stopped working . Tried to check for blinking light code but the light will not even come on. We checkerd the transforme

You said you checked the fuses and all are working, does that include the fuse in the furnace circuit board? It is a plug style fuse, similiar to the ones used in the auto industry. If this fuse is good, do you have 24 v coming out of the transformer? It says you checked it, but not if it had voltage...Another note is if there is no 24v, check the primary side to ensure that there is voltage coming into the furnace. You may have a loose wire in a junction box, not the most likely scenario, but it does happen. Hope this helps

I have a goodman furnace GMP075-3 rev B I heve the 4 flashes on the led but when I bypass all high limit sensors I still get 4 flashes and no fire. The unit also blows even when thermostat is at lowe

One thing all of have to remember is that there is no one fix - for example went to one tonight that had this same problem - when I checked there was no power to the hi limit and if the rollouts trip ypu have to reset them (this tells you there is a problem and get if fixed, the problem here was a bad connection at the molex plug sso code flashes are idot lights to tell you THE AREA of the issue they are not the telltale problem if your hi limit trips it could be a clogged filer with no air flow cut the wire to the hi limit they will still be a 4 flash code and the problem is different

Furnace cuts out because of "low air flow", then starts again

try the furnace without the filter. if it stays running then find out what filter came with the furnace. if you have the owners manual. look for the simple things first. blockage, is the motor and fan runnin properly.. good luck

Where is a prseeure switch on a carrier furnace

Your pressure switch will be located in the burner compartment. You will see the inducer motor that comes on when it has a call for heat. That motor is mounted to the housing inside the furnace. From that housing, there will be a small rubber tube going to the pressure switch. They are usually metal or black plastic, and round in shape. If the pressure switch is malfunctioning, try taking the hose off of the housing, being careful not to damage the hose. Blow and **** in on the hose and listen for the switch to "click" in and out. If there is no sound, it needs to be replaced. Also clear the adapter where the hose connects to the housing with a small piece of wire or something similar. These things clog up all the time and your basically making sure everything is clear before going any further. Another thing that can make a pressure switch act up is the inducer motor not working. And you might check the flue all the way through the roof to make sure its not blocked in any way. Hope this information helps and good luck.

Does not ignite, no gas getting to unit to ignite. Gas supply is on.

More than likely your gas valve or control board is malfunctioning. You can use a multimeter to check for voltage at the gas valve when the furnace calls for it. In sequence, the IDM will come on, then another click that starts the ignitor which glows, then the next click will be the board sending power to the gas valve. You should have 2 wires on the gas valve, put the meter leads there and when the board calls for the gas valve, you should have 24v at the gas valve. If not, the board is faulty. If you do have the voltage there, the gas valve is faulty and needs replaced. Sometimes you can take a pair of pliers or similar tool and gently knock on top of the gas valve and it will get the valve "unstuck" which can get you some heat if needed. Hope this helps!

I have a goodman GMP10-5 REV that the blower will not shut off, i think it may be the fan limit switch, can I test it and where is it located?

the older units have the limit mounted on the heat exchanger straight in front as u look at unit. try taping on unit . newer units are on a circuit board . just for the heck of it unhook the green t-stat wire on termal bloc on unit. if the blower stops then replace t-stat.

I have a Heil H9MPDO75F2AZ QUIET COMFORT FURNACE and have replaced pressure switch and still not running

Hi Kim,A couple things to check:1) OK, you've replaced the pressure switch - good stuff. But the neoprene hose running from the pressure switch to the inducer motor... does it have any tears or cracks? Is the hose fittings clogged on the inducer side? Clean/replace as necessary if so. You cannot have any leaks or restrictions in this hose.2) Try disconnecting the inducer (spent fumes exhaust fan) motor and check this motor coil for continuity with a multimeter. If the motor coil is dead, you'll need to replace the inducer (about $120.00?).3) Check during initial startup of a heating cycle that there actually is 120vac arriving at the inducer motor coming in from the control board. If not, your board may be at fault.Hope this helps!Papa Fixit
