On most Viewsonic TVs, hit menu (on the TV or your remote) go to Options (or Setup). The icon will look like a hammer with a double ended wrench across it (at least on my TV - a different model). Hit the down arrow and select Restore Default or Memory Recall. Select Yes and Enter when you see the prompt. Then exit the menu system (by hitting menu). The action is saved when you exit.

(the two different commands results from a change in Viewsonic's menu system - my print manual differs from the current on-line manual at Viewsonic's site. I'm not sure which set of commands will apply. If your TV menus are different, the names should still be similar.)

You have not given the full model number or where abouts you are. Spares are available in the uk from [email protected] or call 01245392539 and have the correct info at hand.

Is this a viewsonic? I am told, to unlock the menu, try holding the up and down channel buttons in together. If all buttons are locked, try holding the up and down volume buttons in together. The buttons are under the screen. I am not sure if you can do this while the unit is powered up or do this while powering up. Try first while unit is powered and running. Each of the two processes should set the lock if not locked and should also unlock if locked.

Change power supply capactors. you will see two capactors that have the tops bubbled out,change them and unit will work great.

The DVD player may be the problem. Check to see if the output on the TV is working.

Found universal replacement remote for Viewsonic N2750 at Target for $15. Works perfectly. it's the Sony RM-V310A. Tried all 5 remotes from Walmart, none worked even though it said would work on back of packaging..Target has about 5 Remotes only this one worked. My original remote died after 2 years. ordered an original replacement. that one died after 2 years. They're ****.Manufacturer discontinued it. found one online for $50. Just get the Sony RM-V310A at target.

You need to take the back off the set, with the power off, turn it on, then probe around with a long, wooden chopstick until you find the problem.

Flashing of the LCD screen means the inverter is failing. Usually they just flash a few times, then no picture. The inverter is the unit that powers the back lights that project through the LCD screen. For the majority of LCD TVs, inverters are supplied with a separate power source from the power supply, depending on the manufacturer, it can be 24vdc or 60vdc.

With the repeated flashing, I would say its the inverter and not the power supply, as the inverter uses transformers and oscillators to generated the voltage for the backlights.

In the US an inverter board (the board is replaced), runs about $180 and average $75 for labor.



Other than this, it could be Power Supply Problem, MainBoard or the Problem with Panel itself which needs more troubleshooting.

the tx is a box with writing in it, whereas cc is closed captioning, which is just writing on the screen. if the tx is unavailable, you will get a black screen. try the cc if you want closed captioning. good luck!

Sounds like a bad power board. Viewsonics are famous for this.

U know how to solders?Power board very comon is capacitors is dead.Capacitors puff up or burst open.Replaced these capacitors on the power board.Or tries Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy the whole reburbish power board to replaced.
