I have no sound/ I

Just to mention that if you have Directv or Dish hooked to the TV, you may need to unplug the satelite receiver for a minute and plug back up. I have seen this happen so many times and people think their TV is at fault. And of course is the possibility of the speakers being cut off in the Sound menu which it looks like you have checked. Lastly, the problem would be in the audio board which Ebay has currently for $18 and shipping $5. Put the model number in the search field at Ebay and scroll down to the audio board.

Hello
Its video decoder has damaged.
there is no repair to bd done to it, as most of its components and SMD [Suface mount Type]; and should be replaced as card. As far as sound is OK, there is no fault ot its video IF or tuner section. Video decoder is combination of digital ICs and extreme care should be taken when replacing this board. You must have through knoledge in digital electronics, and must have a concept of soldering, and have a very good quality digital multimeter to proceed. If you have these, inform me by Fixya, alongwith your email address so that I can send its schematic diagram to you. Viesonic N-2750W and Viewsonic N-2060 models have same circutary and components, except the diamention in screen size. If you are confident that you can do it by yoursel, inform me. I'ss send advice along with schematic diagram.OK.

Yes there is... You are going to need a VGA cable and an 1/8 audio cable (for sound)

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins1520/en/om_en/pdf/UX8623D.pdf - On page 29 it shows a picture of the right side of your computer. You will hook the VGA cable to the VGA port (Number 8 on the diagram).
The on your tv you will hook it up to the vga port as well. Page 7 of the following document shows a pictures of the back of your tv. You will hook it up to "L" on the diagram. Be careful to not bend the pins in the connector. http://www.viewsonic.com.au/support/manuals/files/LCd%20TV/N2750w%20User%20Guide%20English.pdf
Switch your tv over to the PC input by clicking the "Input" button. Then make sure your PC is sending a signal, you might have to hit the function key to switch the view.

Most likely a small surface mount fuse near the inlet of the 24v rail needed to light the tv with the backlight inverter. You may also have a CCFL bulb that is going out. If they run in a series then one bulb that is old and burning out will power down the rest of the bulbs (I ran into this problem with a 42" samsung once and that fixed it)

Thank you

HOPE this helps :)

You could order a substitute remote ( as original is not available any longer ) from :-

http://remotes.com/store/viewsonic/n2750w.html

If you want to buy universal remote, be advised that for Viewsonic it would not be too successful and moreover, the one which is compatible ( Harmony ) would be expensive.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

No power wont come on

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV. Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired ofcourse) and found four bulged capacitors on the PSB. Many major electronics companiesPhilips/Magnavox, Sony, Panasonic, and others were sold capacitors that failedin 2-5 years instead of 10-20. Thecapacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in allsorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems. Here are some options for you. 1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$??????? (Is itunder warranty?) Remember, TVs CONTAINHIGH VOLTAGE AND CAN KILL YOU! Do this at your own risk. 2. Open your TV and find PSB. (The board that the power cordplugs into) Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad capsreplace the entire board. The entireboard costs around $250 right now because they are in high demand right now. They can be found at tv-part.com but supplies are limited. I would definitely shop around though. 3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill. Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourselfit will save you hundreds. This may be your problem. If you determine that it might be. I have a Tip/How TO tutorialon this site that may also help. Itgives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this isyour board you are in luck. Here is theLink: Fixingthe Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. I'm working on uploading pictures to helpguide people though the process as well. Let me know if I can do anything to help. Hope this helps and if it does please rate itaccordingly. Good luck.Kaufman605
