Are you getting alot of background? If so then the developer is overtoned & needs to be replaced. If you are getting black lines then that is caused by the main charge being dirty, upper fuser roller needing to be replaced due to wear or the drum is "lined" out or the drum blade is warped.

You most likely have a blown thermal fuse or thermostat in the fuser assy. After replacement, you have to enter diagnostics and perform an lbpr fuser reset. That's in F9-6

The stapler mechanism may be jammed. try to make sure it works freely. It has to "crimp" the staples similar to a car crushing machine. They usually give the customers a little tool to unjam the staple unit. Good luck.

An E4-02 occurs after 7 consecutive jams at the fuser. Possible causes are:

Paper exit sensor# 1 or 2 disconnected or defective.
DRV pcb is disconnected or pcb is defective.
SPC pcb is disconnected of pcb is defective.

Open the right transport cover, then remove three screws from the right rear cover. That's the one with the opening for the network port. The waste bottle slides out and can be emptied.
