Sounds like a driver problem. Remove that printer, go to the manufacturer's web site & download current drivers. If your printer is connected via USB, turn off or disconnect the printer before installing the new drivers, then connect to printer when prompted. Another thought, verify that the correct printer is chosen from within the app you are printing from.

In this case make sure that the plastic tab that actuates the sensor is not broken off. If it is, try and find some way to defeat it. Other wise you will have to replace the whole transmit door assembly.

Open up the document feeder by pulling straight up.

You will see a white tab sticking out of the black base.

Push FIRMLY towards the rear with your thumb.

Try entering *72########### where #=fax # that you want to forward to. To end forwarding, enter *73. This depends on if your carrier supports call forwarding.

The lower tray and the left cover must be removed, inside you will find the fuser (last place the paper passes through before it exits the left side.

Remove the screws and unplug the wires, reverse order to replace.

Pana fax uses a thin peice of rubber to prevent multiple sheets from feeding these wear out.
You can try opening the part where you feed your origials and clean the rubber roller and pad with soap and water and a damp cloth
