There is short circuit in your system. Check the wall socket,plug and the power cord. Disconnect the power cord and connect it after checking it. If this fails then the fault lies inside the TV for that you may have to take assistance of service technician in your area.

This could be that your picture is just oversaturated. Try turning the color adjustment down slightly. If you make slight adjustments to the 'Contrast' and 'Color' you should be able to dial that out.

Are you using a universal remote? Does the power button on the set work properly?

The plug for the sensor bar was not in the back of the Wii properly, so the hand would only appear partially and very jumpy.

Are they labeled?If you have {RCA connectors]R for Red=Right Channel,White for Left channel. But check labeling on ins and outs!!!! If you have a TV OUT,take it to amp input.Turn volume.

It is very possible that you have solder joints on the main board that need to be re-soldered.

sounds like a pain ..have you looked in the menu to see if you can shut it off ? try watching the tv with the batteries out of the remote to see if you have a fault with that .good luck farr64[colin]

The single line means that the vertical deflection doesn't work. And since it is working when you kick the tv or has warmed it's clearly a bad connection - open the case and reseat the wires going to the tube coil.

while on standby, have you tried putting it on with a remote control?

If you have tried and it still did not work, then I think it's high time you took it to a technician.

Your TV is going through power problem issue, and it only takes some one who know about TV repairs to fix it.

If the set is in fact new, return it for warranty service. If not, then you can swap the speakers inside the set to determine whether or not the speaker is the problem. If the speaker itself is OK, then the audio amp IC is defective. This should be a small part with 7-9 pins that may be attached to a heatsink. It should be marked TA8265.

The flyback transformer will need to be checked as these are the culprits when you get the flashing light in the frount. also whatwould need to be checked is the 240V Capacitor inside to make sure that its in order as well.

If you can see inside your tv..check the fuse. If the fuse is good, you have bad grounds on the solders and certainly som bad capacitors..I always look for caps that have 160volt to 250volts with less than 10Mfs. These almost always are the culprit. And Maybe check the main filtercap..About 200volts and 470Mf. They sometimes go weak. [Just sometimes] If the fuse is bad you have a bigger problem...This will include a bad H.O.T. and maybe a resistor or diode as well! Also a replace the horizontal driver transistor! Oh yes even the contoller Ic could go down....I would guess the first part of this solution is the answer and you have a good fuse!

My dad and I fixed the TV/Video problem over the weekend using one of the solutions suggested. Make sure you stay away from the red wire running from the back of the tube to the circuit board.

1. Take the cover off the back of the TV.
2. On the bottom of the TV is a circuit board that is mounted on top of a plastic tray. Remove the cables running from the speakers by squeezing the tab on the white plug and pulling them up and off the board.
3. Looking at the back of the TV, pull the board+tray out (barely secured in there) and flip it 180 degrees so you're looking at the front of the board.
4. Desolder and remove the TV/Video push button. It's labeled on the PCB, and should be the second button in from the left.
5. Place the tray back in the TV and make sure the other buttons still remaining on the baord are aligned with the buttons on the front of the TV.
6. Put the cover back and you're done.

TV works as good as new again. Of course I can't use the TV/Video button on the TV itself, but the remote handles that fine. 20 minutes max, and no repairman needed.

I think you flyback transformer is going out. Eventually it won't come back when you hit it.

I wish I had a £1 for every time I answered this! This is field collapse where the probable cause is the Field Output IC itself, or dry solder joints on the board where the IC is soldered in.
